Pinkish Hue

So I have been wearing panty liners the last couple of days because my discharge is getting worse (sorry TMI) and I have noticed by the next morning the liner looks pink.  Has anyone else had this? Probably going to call the Dr. today to see if I need to worry about this at all (possible blood), but I thought I would check on here to see if any of you have encountered this.

Re: Pinkish Hue

  • I would definitely call. When my water started leaking before I went into labor, it was pinkish on the TP. Hopefully it's nothing, but I would definitely ask about it.

  • I would definitely call!  I've had tons of discharge and sometimes it will look brown after it dries (gross) but never pink.

  • Definitely call, it's always better to be safe than sorry!!
  • I've had this a couple times the last couple weeks. I brought it up to my OB and she told me my cervix has a lot of pressure on it and it's causing some bleeding. She told me unless it becomes bleeding vs pink discharge that I shouldn't worry.
That being said I would still talk to your doctor :)

  • I would call just to be safe, but light pink could also be something you ate, I had a major freak out until my dr asked if I had eaten beets lately. Yup, cannot get enough borscht soup lately!
  • Put in a call just in case. I'm pretty sure I had something like this too last time and it turned out to be nothing, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

  • Thanks @singingmama10 for the update! I was wondering if your doctor would say the same thing that mine did. And its totally okay to care - when I first saw it my heart dropped!!

  • I'm surprised at the heavy use of panty liners. My doc said no liners as they do not help keep things dry down south and often cause yeast infections. She says cotton panties work best as keeping on dry.
  • Ps- very glad to hear you're ok!
