January 2015 Moms

I'm sorry but need middle name suggestions!

I know everyone is probably sick of the name posts so I'm very sorry but we are narrowing down name options and I think we have decided on Brooklynn for our daughter. Any middle name suggestions? Some that I have been thinking of are Lee (DH's middle name), Rose, or Grace. Also, these were are other choices for a first name Madison, Morgan, Madelyn, Gracelynn, Hailey. So if you think Brooklynn sucks and I should choose another name let me know. (as you can tell I'm having a hard time making a decision)  :) Thanks Ladies!

  • I like Rose.  It's got nice flow with Brooklyn.

  • My dd1 name is Brooklyn Elise.

  • I'm a big fan of Elise as a middle name and I think it goes great with your first name choice. I don't think Brooklynn sucks too much, but I think it is overused. That could be because I have two cousins with the name though! Baby Names Board will definitely try to sway you to another name if you go over there.

  • I love Brooklyn(n), but it's too common for my taste - and it doesn't flow well with our last name... but, I still love it :) I like Brooklyn Rose best.

Gracelyn is on our short list -- so I love that one too :)

  • Brooklynn Grace
  • I know no babies named Brooklyn, but I live in Brooklyn, and it would be really weird to use that name if you live here. I do like it though for people who live outside of the NYC area.

I would drop the last n though - I just feel like she'd have to go through her whole life correcting the spelling. Thats just my 2 cents.

I actually like all three of your middle name options - it would depend on the last name too, and maybe consider the initials? To make sure they dont spell anything super weird, and also for monogramming purposes

  • Out of the Brooklyn choices, I lien Rose as a mn.

But out of all your names, I like Hailey the best :)

  • I second Hailey Grace! I like Brooklynn too, but Hailey Grace is adorable.

  • Sorry, not a fan of Brooklyn. It's uber trendy and does not translate well to a grown, professional woman's name, it'd be hard to take her seriously. I think Madelyn (spelled Madeline) Elise is lovely. She can be a Maddie or a Linnie when she's young, and Madeline is a nice professional name.

  • Rose Brooklyn? I love the name Rose, and agree about the trendiness of the name Brooklyn. I also love Rose Elise. Like, a lot.
