Intro/Question

Hi Ladies -

I know it's super late in the game, but I'm a dirty lurker and I'm hoping for some rational advice. I've been reading since my BFP in May, and you guys have been an incredible source of information. So thank you for that!!

LO was diagnosed with HFM on Thursday. He passed it on to me, and I started showing symptoms on Saturday. He is 100% better, but I still have a fever/general aches/sores in throat (neither of us ever got the full-blown rash). I spoke to my doctor, and he told me that I have to be fever-free without medication for 24 hours before I can return to work (I teach at a high school). I know there were lots of cases of HFM in F14 earlier this year, so I'm wondering if this is consistent with advice you all have received before. I definitely do NOT want to end up being Patient Zero at the school, but I don't want to take off more time than I really have to (tomorrow would be sick day #4). I know that you aren't doctors, but I just need someone to reassure me that yes, my doctor's advice isn't overly conservative.

I know these kinds of posts are really annoying, so I apologize in advance. I live for Diet Coke and buy All The Things from Amazon/Target, so I'm hoping (maybe) that builds my credibility a little. Thank you!!
