Multivitamin

Anyone have a recommendation for a multivitamin that isn't super disgusting? Our pedi recommended PolyViSol when DS was little but it was gross, he rejected it, then we forgot about it. I want to get both kiddos going on something but I don't know what.

Re: Multivitamin

  • maybe the gummy vitamins? its the only way i remember to take mine. Now in the mornings i get to have a handful of gummys and they're good for me! sort of. lol.

but they have them in pretty much any vitamin you need or want.

DD is too little for gummies and DS is a difficult eater and won't chew up gummy ones. I forgot to mention that I tried those.

  • I struggled with DS1 and vitamins for a few years. He refused to take the gummies so I would get a chewable vitamin. He didn't care for them and gave me trouble when it was time to take them. Eventually I told him that he did not have to take vitamins but then we would have to go to the doctor every week for shots instead. Suddenly he stopped giving me a hard time! • *coming out of lurking* I give my DS PolyViSol also. While we were in the NICU with him (he was due in Feb but born in Dec), the nurses told us to mix it with an ounce of milk. He has no problem taking it that way :) *back to lurking*
  • Thanks for coming out of hiding @marajadeskywalker I'll try that.

  • We gave Poly Vi Sol when we started formula up until 6 mo, when the pedi said we could discontinue. The only way I could get her to take it was to mix it in her bottle.

Strange, our pedi has wanted us to keep DS on one all this time and told us to continue giving it to DD at her 6 month appt. (But we hadn't even started it at 4 mos. Didn't tell her that though).

  • Strange! My pedi hasn't recommended one at all, kinda sad face. Poly Vi Sol is no bueno solo eh? I'll have to get some and try it in the milk!
