My twins are about 7 1/2 months and my son is getting rather heavy lugging him around in the car seat along with my daughter (he is a bigger than his sister).
I am starting to look at convertible car seats but not sure when we should transition them into them.
Also when we do switch them over, I kind of am freaking out how I am going to get them both out of the car at daycare by myself.
Does anyone have any advise?
I suppose it will take some learning on all of our ends and hopefully the twins don't get frustrated with me trying to figure it out.
Also any seat recommendations?
Thanks

Re: Switching to convertible car seats
8/15 FET #1 - transferred 1 thawed embryo - Pregnant with Baby C, it's a girl! Due April 2016.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the logistics of getting them both from the house to the car, w a bag and locking the door (our garage isn't attached to the house and we park in the driveway). It may have to happen in 2 trips.
Anyway, we use Diono radians bc we have a big one so we need 3 across. He's 4.5 so we have a harnessed booster for him.

As for getting to the car either I leave one inside and carry one to the car and come back for the second twin or if that wasnt an option depending on where I was, I wore one on my back in a buckle carrier and carried one in my arms. I strapped her in, took the other one off my back and strapped her in. I did the same in reverse to carry them in.

Mine weigh 18.5 and 14.5 right now at almost 8 months. I have a small car, VW golf so setting them on the floor is not an option. The back seat is quite small so I will have to do my research to see what seats will work although we will hopefully be getting a small SUV in the beginning of the new year.
Thank you for all of your help, makes me feel better about it.
