So much spit up. Anyone else still dealing with this? He doesn't have reflux, doesn't seem bothered by it, but spits up soooooo much! Between that and the drooling he has to wear a bib at all times and usually soaks one in under an hour. I'm over it.

Re: Spit up

  • We have day where DS is a fountain. I have no clue what causes if but he doesn't seem bothered by it. I'll mention the increase to his doctor but I'm sure it's nothing.

  • Mine! Patrick spits up all the time. He just moves on, so I deal with it. He often wears a perma bib.

  • We've got a lot of spit up going on here too. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that we switched over to formula recently. Between that and the drool, LO usually goes through 2-3 outfits per day!
  • @LindsayB0505‌ is he formula fed? It could be a sign he is not tolerating the formula well.
  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • We have that here too. The pediatrician called her a "happy spitter"
  • More than normal- I think it may be because she is always rolling around and extra drooly....I try to keep her off her belly after she eats which is difficult as she always rolls onto it!!
  • Nope, he is BF.  He gets the odd bottle of formula in the evenings before bed, but not every day.

  • My LO has reflux and the pedi said that most kids, reflux or not, will spit up a lot more once they start moving. It gets better before it gets worse.

  • Yes, yes, yes to all of this! Now that she is always rolling around and sucking on her fingers it's hopeless!!

  • Not much spit up but man, so much drool. Especially When she is concentrating, it's like she can't focus on something and remember to keep her mouth closed at the same time.

  • Spit up allll the time. He has bad reflux and is on meds so he's no longer bothered by it, but it's still a multiple times a day event around here! We go through a few bib and clothing changes (usually him, sometimes me) a day.

That's my oldest!   He's almost 2 and when he's doing anything he has to think about, his little jaw goes slack and drool rolls out.  I feel bad for his teachers someday.

  • I'm in the 2-3 outfits per day club. This is my second happy spitter. We have crusty white blotches of dried spit up all over our house.
