Silly toys you just HAD to have!

I bought this for Grace when she was maybe 6 months old?  I HAD to have it - it helped with core strength!  And balance!  And it looked FUN!  I mean, who wouldn't want it?? It contains no banned phthalates! (What ARE those?!) Safe to play!  Comes with it's own pump!

Now, it's annoying and since she found it in the basement, I can't get rid of the dang thing. (Blurry, messy, cleaning out the entire house picture)

    Little People princess castle. She loves it but it takes up so much freaking space!

    ^^YES!  We have that too.  And if I have to hear the spinning floor song one more time, I think I'll puke.

    We had the guitar until last week when it *accidentally* made its' way into the garage sale pile. I have had to purchase my son all of the cool little people toys. Why did I do that? They are huge and take up a ton of real estate and he loves them.

    Calico critters. Those things are stinking expensive but DD who is seven spends hours playing with them!

    this is the toy I hate but DD loves that my MIL got her.  even now when she sees it in the nursery closet, she HAS to play with it! stupid thing pops balls out the trunk and they roll everywhere

    OMG, my 2 year old got a bouncy thing just like that last Christmas!! It was an ugly eye sore in my house, but seriously the best entertainment (and exercise!) ever! It just died a few weeks ago when she cut an ear off (don't ask...) and now it won't stay inflated despite our attempts to fix it.

    I want all of the developmental toys for our LO-it could have something to do with the fact that I'm an OT and I work with kiddos. I registered for blocks, puzzles, fine motor toys... And of course I she had to have Sophie the giraffe.

    @AJIrishMama‌ i got the two pack that has the teething one and the plush one so maybe she will like one of those. I'm obsessed with giraffes so I can just use it for decoration in the nursery if she hates it. My friend puts Sophie next to her daughter each month to pose for the one month pictures. I thought it was a cute idea-and it's a good way to show how much they change so quickly.

    We bought this for DS 3 years ago and he still plays with it almost daily. I bought it because it is one of the tallest on the market. Still looks almost new even after a long ride in a moving truck last year.

    OP my mom bought Em that horse and she is terrified of it and won't go near it. It's pretty funny actually.

    +1 for the kitchen being the dumbest thing I had to have. She liked it for a week. Now there is pots/pans/fake food all over my living room all the time. Stupid kitchen!

    We got this kitchen for DD for her birthday last year. She goes on and off playing with it. The biggest thing about it that she loves is the phone on the side of it.
