Update on TTC and Life

So we FINALLY had our WTF appt with the RE on Thurs. Of course, AF came early on Wed so I was freaking out (esp since I was on BCP). Got the go ahead for another cycle of IUI (adding in Brevelle this round) but will move on to IVF is this doesn't work. It was sad because we have no IVF coverage and because he told us the rates of PG after 3 round of IUI actually decline. But he was agreeable to another round to see what happens. In the meantime, I decided to finally get my tendonitis in my wrist fixed (after 2 cortisone shots I knew surgery was inevitable) - I was super stressed that my Ortho wouldn't do it in a good time frame and we would have to skip a cycle or I would have to wait it out till I was done TTC or PG and had the baby. Instead, I got a call last Tues or Wed that my Ortho was on board with doing surgery and I could have it done last Friday (2 days ago). So, after much chaos surgery was done Friday afternoon and started Clomid Friday night. Thank goodness for a DH that was able to help me remember to take my meds and an RE who agreed to do my monitoring appt the day of surgery (it was a crazy day). So here I sit in the midst of a cycle recovering from surgery. Sorry for the rambling, and my absence

Wow that is a lot. I would say though your re prob meant 3 IUIs with the same protocol.

I did prob 7 IUIs, but 3 with clomid, 2 with menopur and 2 with Femara. After 3 iui cycles my RE changes the meds. I did get pg on about my 7th with twins.

We don't have any ivf coverage either and have partial iui coverage so it was so worth if for us to keep doing IUIs. Most of the REs we worked with were willing too.

That's so much stuff at once! Glad everything worked out and got fit in, though! Wishing you tons of luck with this cycle and so happy you have a plan. I hope having a plan for moving forward has brought you some relief and peace of mind.
