Hi Ladies,
I have been doing a little bit of lurking and figure it is time to introduce myself since the board has been very helpful. I am 35 weeks 1day and we are team green again. I had my son at 35weeks 6 years ago due to pPROM and I've been nervous about actually making it to October (part of why my intro is so late...). I had a pelvic exam today found out that baby is not engaged yet, but my cervix is anterior and 50% effaced, I am at 1cm. We are hopeful that baby will stay put for few more weeks... although I understand labor can happen before that too...
I tried to search the board to get a sense of how likely the baby will stay put once distillation start but I wasn't able to find out much, just curious to know long the partial effacement/dilation phase lasted for those of you who found out before labor? - Thanks
Re: Late intro and a question
BUT I have heard from OBs and my MW that early dilation doesn't usually mean much. Women can walk around at 3+ cm dilated for weeks, or can go into labor from zero and dilate to 10 within just a few hours. Everyone and every pregnancy is different.
TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
I had an appointment on my EDD with my DD and was 0 cm, no effacement, nothing. I went into labor the next day and had her 24 hours later. Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different.
