Anyone have night sweats!?

I just reached 9 weeks & the worst symptom I have so far is night sweats! I normally run cool, I love to snuggle up in layers of blankets all year long and even suffer from a circulation condition that causes poor blood circulation. Meaning I'm ALWAYS cold. But for the last several weeks I wake up at least a couple times at night drenched in sweat & have to change my jams. Anyone else have this? It's *killing* my sleep cycle ( note the 4am post). Help!

Re: Anyone have night sweats!?

  • One night my DH came to be and woke me up asking me if I peed the bed! I woke up dying of heat and covered in sweat. I said "No! I'm just so hot, why is it so hot!" And stripped down. I had no idea that could be a symptom lol

  • No night sweats yet. I remember they were awful the first two or three weeks after I delivered DS. Waking up to nurse or pump in a soaking cold sweat was pure misery.

  • I have them too. They were a little worse at like 8-9 weeks they seemed to have calmed down now at 12w2d. I still have to sleep with just a throw blanket. Couldn't imagine sleeping under all of the covers now.
  • Yup. I go to bed freezing and then wake up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. Thankfully, after 3 yrs. of pregnancy and little ones, I am capable of going back to sleep really fast.

  • I've had some really awful ones in the past. So far, I've had a couple of nights where I've woken up sweaty, but nothing bad enough to have to change my PJs or the sheets.

I've been sleeping under just a lighter blanket with the fan going, in comfy shorts and a tshirt. Wearing heavier clothes makes it so much worse.
  • I have had a couple so far; they are not fun! I usually take off my pjs and just sleep on top of the sheets for the rest of the night if they are wet too. Hope it gets better for you!

  • I don't wake up drenched, just over heating.  I too have a hard time going back to sleep.  The sweats postpartum were the worst!
