antidepressants?

anyone on here taking an antidepressant?which one?are you concerned about the side effects?

this is my second pregnancy and I'm on the same antidepressant I was with my first one (which a wonderful, HEALTHY baby boy came from). I'm not sure why but I'm significantly more nervous about the side effects during this pregnancy. my dose now is half the dose I was on during my first pregnancy. I just can't stop thinking that if something goes wrong it will be my fault because I stayed on my antidepressants (I weighed out the pros and cons to help me make this decision) please help?

If your doctor/midwife isn't concerned about you taking it while pregnant, I wouldn't worry about it. With all the blood work they do throughout pregnancy, I'm sure they would have found something by now if it was affecting baby at all. The worst case scenario is your baby MAY, and I do me MAY, have a low birth weight, but that's about it. Don't stress over it, there's no need. :-) I am sure baby is just as healthy as your son was when he was born.

I was/am on one with all 3 of my pregnancies. I cut way down on the dosage each time. My sons were both born healthy and I am hoping this one will be as well. My medication is a pregnancy category C. Both my OB and primary Dr. said that the benefits outweigh the risks. HTH

This is my third pregnancy and first time staying on my medication. I take Prozac and my high risk dr's are not concerned about it at all. There are greater risks with me not taking it. So I find comfort in that and trust my dr's.

thank you all for responding.since it's a category c medication they don't recommend it.it is better for me to continue the meds instead of stopping them.we go for the anatomy scan Thursday morning so hopefully everything is fine *fingers crossed*
