Upset Stomach

Is anyone else experiencing an upset stomach? It is nothing like my first/second tri nausea and vomiting.  It is just an upset stomach that comes and goes multiple times each day/night.  I didn't have this with my last pregnancy, so I have no idea what could be causing it or how to get it to go away.  I can't seem to find anything my diet that triggers it.

Re: Upset Stomach

  • Yeah, I've been getting it during the night( keeping me up) and sometimes in the morning. I agree, very different then morning sickness. Mine feels very similar to the sick I feel when I'm getting my period. My midwives had contributed it to my other early signs of labor.. But who really knows.

  • Yes, I feel slightly sick to my stomach a few times a day. Nothing like first trimester nausea, but it's still not fun :(

  • Yes, sometimes. My guess is indigestion from our stomach/organs getting all squished up.

  • I've been having the same thing. It's worse in the morning for some reason. My OB said it's not uncommon and not to worry about it.
  • Yep, I've got it too. It's no where near as bad as it was in the 1st trimester but I did think I was going to throw up the other night. It's more annoying than anything though, just a lingering mild nausea that Dr. Internet deems as normal apparently. I mentioned to my OB that I wasn't feeling great and she was just like *smile, nod, "yep"* so I guess it's not a big deal.

  • Me too. Mostly in the mornings--which is weird because I didn't have any nausea in first tri.
  • This thread makes me think of the pepto commercials.
  • I actually threw up Sunday for the first time since the first trimester and my indigestion has kicked it up a notch. I guess the fact that we have almost full sized babies in our belly is a pretty understandable reason for digestive upset, but man it sucks!  I ate a kebab 5 hours ago and am still regretting it.

  • I've been getting this too.  My OB said it was normal and probably just caused by hormones.

  • The hubby and I ate a nice dinner last night and I felt awful ALL night! I barely ate half my meal and then went home to burp up sea bass and acid all night. Woke up nauseous and crampy with back pain. ;( I've been feeling progressively worse during the last week. I'll be 37 wks Friday. Hoping little guy stays put until our induction date at 39 wks but I sure don't want to feel like this for two weeks!!
  • I'm having the mild nausea pp mentioned that is similar to how I feel when I have menstrual cramps. I see the dr Thursday, but the last time I mentioned the nausea the doc said not to worry about it unless I couldn't keep anything down all day. I'm not vomiting, I just feel moderately uncomfortable all the time. Also, definitely more heartburn than before.
  • Wow I just posted this haha. I feel the same way. :'(
  • Me too :( Eating tiny meals throughout the day seems to help. But it sucks. I feel like I'm stretched to exploding and then adding in a sore tummy is not fun!
