That's what I get for sleeping in

So I nursed and put LO to bed at midnight last night, usually it 11 but whatever. I pumped at 2 and put it in the fridge and when LO woke up at his normal 7am I asked DH to feed him. I was just so tired and wanted a little sleep. I wake at 10 to find DH all pissed off and a crying baby. DH tells me LO just started crying and he doesn't know why. Umm because it's been 3 hours and he's hungry. Great way to start my day with a pissed off baby and hubby

  • I feel your pain. My DH doesn't get it either. I went for a power walk last night for about an hour and left LO with DH. I came home and LO was screaming. DH says "she's hungry and has been crying for a while". Well...I had fresh milk in a bottle in the fridge and a shit ton of frozen milk in the freezer...??? So why didn't he feed her?! And he is all annoyed because my walk took too long!

  • This post reminds me of my DH on Saturday. He took a nap and left me with the three girls without any mention of what he was doing. Then he gets up and starts complaining about being stiff or whatever from his nap.  Not only did he get to take a nap but he wants to complain about it too!  My children have never taken a bottle so no one has ever fed them prior to them starting solids at 6 months. I find it hard to have empathy since our baby is waking hourly and taking 20 - 40 minutes to get back to sleep.

DH did the same thing the other night. I took #1 to soccer practice, told my mom her last feeding time and which bottle to use first. No issues there. DH gets home, and calls me, asking when I'll be home bc baby V is hungry. There were 5 bags of milk in the fridge plus 2 bottles. Me: why can't you feed her?!

  • I stepped out for some me time from my DH, And told him I had pumped a bottle in fridge if not enough there's some in freezer, he tells me yea yea don't worry he knows what to do, 2 hrs into my me alone time I text DH to see how LO is doing no answer so I assume they were both napping, 30 mins later I walk into my house to my LO screaming bloody murder and my DH says to me I think he's hungry and has been waiting for you!! What why didn't he give bottle!?? He was being lazy and I think that he didn't think I would honestly listen to him and actualy go out on my own leaving him home w LO....
