Cough suppressants help with CM?

I have heard a few different things lately and want to know if anyone has had any practice with this. If so, then what kind was used? Thanks.

  • :) Mucinex 12-Hour Chest Congestion Expectorant Tablets are what's written up in "Taking Charge of your Fertility".  Says use as directed, which is 1 - 2 tablets every 12 hours - do not exceed 4 tablets a day.  So - you start taking that 3-5 days pre O, and then continue into 2nd day of higher temps (assuming LP).

I just bought a 40 pack off amazon - going to give it a whirl.  They say Robitussin does the same - you just have to make sure you're using the non letter variety, the plain old robitussen.

  • Good luck!  I'm waiting for a bit to take mine to see if I can actually figure out my own CM first - which was all over the place last cycle.  So - my theory is if i take these now, I won't notice my REAL CM.  So - if I can't figure it out this cycle, then I'll start taking mucinex next cycle.

    Good luck to you!

  • I am just starting to monitor mine so not really sure what to look for but I am willing to try anything. Good luck to you as well.
  • If you don't already have it, I'd REALLY recommend that book - Taking Charge of your Fertility.  It walks you through this entire process you're going through and completely educates you on it all.  You'll be an expert by the end.  It's pretty fascinating too...
