DH keeps encouraging me to join Stoller Strides or a similar group for mommies and babies. I think it could be fun and help me to not feel so trapped and isolated like I do some days, but then again the thought of needing to be somewhere on time with a happy baby on a regular basis seems overwhelming. I'm interested to know if any of you have or are going to do something like this. How old was/is LO when you start? Any suggestions on making it work or interesting stories to share?
ETA: DS is 7w4d, we just moved so I don't know anyone here... thoughts?
Re: Are you joining a mommy group?
I love my moms group and have made some wonderful friends through it. Totally recommend!!!
August 2014 January Siggy Challenge
I'm part of one through Meetup. I joined when I became a SAHM. I don't spend a lot of time with it, just playgroups once every few months, and sometimes activities like apple picking or stroller walks. I haven't done much with them lately (being really pregnant, then a newborn....)
My group has fun activities like a Halloween and Christmas party though, we always go to them.
I've also met moms through my son's pre-school. We met up at local parks a few times this past summer.

I went to a MOPS group once last spring.
I have heard great things though.
@nobadwriting that sucks there isn't one close to you.
