My husband was going out of town tonight. Is this a natural induction method?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

Yes, but only if you squeeze your nipples, and nest for 22 hours.

Yes, but only if you squeeze your nipples, chocolate milk squirts out, you best for 22 hours, go for an uphill jog, scrub the grout, snort evening primrose, run a pineapple IV line, complain about notches on Oct'14, poop after sex, and weaky face.

  • @jenndub Don't forget to get your nails done.

Really though, I have thought about getting eyelash extensions before the big day more than once. Crazy brain.

I actually do straighten my hair and put makeup on before I have a kid. I've had super long labors and my somehow still looks awesome when the kid is born. I'm hoping to keep that streak alive.

This makes me jealous. I legit looked like crap in every picture taken of me during the 36 hours following E's birth.

  • All of the above!  Seriously, though, my H has been out of town for 2 days and my parents are driving be crazy because they are now convinced I'm going to go in labor this week.  They are calling me every night to make sure I have a "back up" plan.   Plus, I took the dog on a long walk last night, so I'm sure labor is RIGHT around the corner...

  • I voted yes because grout.  Works like a charm.
  • Come on now. Let's be logical here. Of course it's labor... but only if you have sex with him before he leaves.

I have kind of a stupid question, but is pineapple REALLY a labor stimulant or whatever? I see jokes about it all the time, does it stem from some truth? Or is it just a silly rumor? (Not trying to start labor btw, just wondering why people talk about pineapple all the time haha)

Pretty sure there's truth to it if you eat a shit ton of it.
How weird... I wonder why... Like why pineapple vs watermelon. I suppose I could google and find out, but meh
I believe it is a particular enzyme found in pineapple that stimulates labor...but like @Nicb13‌ said, you'd have to eat a TON of it for it to have any effect.

I once ate a ton of pineapple, but it just gave me a stomach ache, which apparently is a labor symptom too. So it must work because I wasn't even pregnant at the time.

Haha, right? I feel like all of the "labor starters" are complete bs or just a coincidence.

Yeah, it's the core of the pineapple, which most people don't even eat anyway because it's fibrous and icky.  I believe it's the bromelain in the pineapple that's supposed to help soften your cervix.  I don't think it actually causes contractions or labor though.  It's just something people use along with evening primrose oil for effacement.
