QOTW: Have you bought any baby items, yet? If so, what?

I'm currently looking forward to my OB/GYN appointment on 9/25. I was excited about graduating to the OB, but I'm disappointed that I won't be getting my weekly u/s tomorrow. I don't quite know what to expect from the OB appointment, other than transferring records from the RE. I need to organize my questions - How often will I be going? What kinds of testing are recommended? When can I expect more scans? If anybody has anything I absolutely should ask, please feel free to share.

QOTW: I have not bought any baby items yet. We can't even talk names because we're still so paranoid. I was, however, looking at several pregnancy books on Amazon. I haven't purchased any yet (I want to check my library first and see what's available there. A book on tape would be great for my long commute).

I've also looked at some strollers on-line. I don't know why, but that's the item in my head right now. I just want a good jogging stroller, so I can get back to running next year.

Got back from my 8w u/s today and everything looked good. I was worried b/c I started bleeding (yet again - ugh...) in the middle of the night, and this time with clotting. They can't find the source (it stopped after 2 hours), but since everything looked ok around the baby...I guess it's fine. This is the biggest mind fuck of my life.

Depending on my how my b/w comes back, they may take me off the PIO and estradiol, and just have me on oral progesterone. And they let me graduate to an OB. Assuming no more scares, I'll book something with the OB in 2 weeks.

QOTW: I'm too paranoid to get anything. DH is dying to buy a baby books - don't know why this is his obsession, but I guess I should be grateful he's excited. I told him today he could get something in a week or two.

Glad things are going well for you @gsancho‌ and @AMShark‌.

I actually have my second appt tomorrow for my second beta at 12dp5dt. My last beta was 102 @8dp5dt. They are also doing an us to look at blood flow and check my lining. I had a little freak out moment this morning. I had a dream I was bleeding when I woke up. When I did get up to pee it looked like blood when I wiped. I haven't seen any since so I'm not sure if it was really there or I'm losing it. I know spotting can be NBD but I've lost 5 babies that started off with spotting, it never means things are good with me.

QOTW: I'm not buying anything for a while, maybe if I can make it to thanksgiving I'll start buying things. I have a dresser already that I bought for my 2nd little girl I lost last year. It's not easy after a loss to keep seeing something so I'm waiting.

Okay, @gsancho...I'll tiptoe in.

I am Aimothy. Married to Jimothy for almost 5 years. I'm a 4th grade teacher and he's a mailman. We got our BFP on our first frozen cycle after two previous fresh cycles (one of which resulted in a m/c). After a bleeding scare and an early ultrasound, we are currently expecting two little babies on May 17. I just went to the bathroom and there's more blood, so I'm trying to hold on to the fact that they couldn't find a source for the blood the last time. I have another ultrasound scheduled for Wednesday morning.

QOTW: I do have baby items already that I've been purchasing on and off over the last five years, but nothing since we actually got a BFP. I already have an ergo carrier, a skip hop diaper bag, some aden and anais swaddlers, and a sleep sack. And just a few million outfits. I figure I can always sell or donate what we don't need/use.

I just intro'd on the board.. but my EDD based on my ER/ET is 5/28.

Hi @gsancho! Thanks for adding me to the list!

My spotting finally stopped on Friday. I still examine my TP each time I go to the bathroom like an insane person. I can't stop peeing and I look and feel like a bloated sea cow.

My next u/s and b/w is scheduled for Wednesday.

QOTW: I haven't purchased anything. I have a bunch of books I downloaded the last time I was pg; just too scared to do anything this time around.

Nice to see some names from other boards on here!

Hey Ladies!! Doing well here, and finally feeling like I can be excited about our LO. We decided against the NT Scan and testing (which I am now starting to 2nd guess...) so we won't get to see him/her until the anatomy scan :oP. I will still have an appointment at 13 weeks, but believe they only do a doppler to check to HR.

QOTW -- A coupon site I follow posted a super cheap convertible crib ($85!!) on clearance on Amazon with GREAT reviews, so we went for it!! It's still in box and will be for probably another 9 weeks, but we couldn't pass it up. That is all we've bought so far, and I doubt we'll buy anything else until we know what we are having.

*Lurker coming in & Hello, this is an intro.*

I had a frozen DE embryo transfer on 9/7 & my 1st betas were 1091 and 2nd betas on Sunday were over 2600. I am in shock and I have a long history of early MC so I am on pins and needles waiting for my 1st US on 10/6...

My EDD is May 26th and I have one bean.

The only I've bought are stretchy pants! I was outgrowing every pair of pants way before the transfer. all booty. & a little bloat bump.

I just got back from my first u/s, and things are looking great! I got to see and hear the heartbeat! ❤️❤️❤️

My EDD is 5/15/2015. And I can confirm now: one bean.

Welcome to all the new ladies joining us! Some of you are waiting for betas. I remember how stressed I was then. I hope you find fun things to distract you. Good luck!!!

QOTW: nothing yet! Still too nervous! But I did go into a baby store to buy a gift for a friend's two-month old. Looking through the clothes and imagining everything working out--it was a rare positive moment! Maybe I'll actually buy something for bean if everything goes well after the next u/s!

Finally feel comfortable enough to post here! Our due data is 4/25 and there is one bean in there. We had our fourth ultrasound today at 9w 2d, and we saw a little gummy bear measuring 9w 3d with a heartbeat of 175 bpm. For some reason the 9w ultrasound felt really monumental.

The first trimester has been pretty good to me. My boobs got bigger (hooray for that!!!) and are super veiny. I'm really unmotivated and tired. I get nausea in the afternoon, and get aversions to food. There is also no telling which foods I end up disliking, so it is happened where I make diner or order in a restaurant and I end up not being able to stomach it. For now my standby is rye bread with aged cheese, which I crave all. the. time. Oh and don't get me started on this bloat, I have turned to wearing potato sack shaped clothes, since it's the only thing that doesn't make me look 5 months pregnant.

@gsancho thanks for leading this check-in! fingers crossed that the spotting stops again. I can imagine that being super scary, good to know baby is doing okay though.

QOTW: I got a onesie from my RE, but I haven't bought anything myself. I've been looking at rocking chairs though, and have been feeling tempted to purchase, but I will wait until the first trimester is over before I go there....

Update: 11w2d today! I will say that having dd here to distract me is making this pregnancy go much faster than hers did, and I am very thankful for that. On the other hand having an 18 month old to chase all day leaves me So. Dang. Tired. I went to bed at 6:30 the other night........ DH is great and gives me as many breaks as he can.

Hi Ladies! I THINK the spotting has finally stopped for me (knock wood), but my anxiety hasn't. My food aversions and fatigue are easing a bit, which I think is relatively normal, although scary. I still have lots of other symptoms--queasiness, very sore boobs (considering armor at this point), and weird feelings of abdominal fullness, so I'm pretty sure I'm still pregnant. I had found the heartbeat twice with the Doppler last week, then I failed to find the next night. I tried one more time and MAY have found it, but I've been too scared since. Next ultrasound/check-up is tomorrow morning, and I'm trying to be confident, but I'm terrified. Any positive thoughts around 9:30 ET are appreciated!

QOTW: My bloating was really bad for a while (probably right around when I was on 1.5 ml of progesterone a day), so I bought a few maternity things on super sale around Labor Day. It's gotten much better (decreased dose!), so I haven't even opened the boxes. (The rubber band trick is all I've needed, and that's only for tight pants when I have to sit for a long time.) But, no, nothing for baby yet. Not sure when I'll start. I'm hoping to get lots of hand-me-downs and freecycle stuff, so if the NT scan looks good in two weeks, I'll probably start watching closely. We've been building the nursery slowly for years, starting from the rafters, so perhaps you would consider the wood flooring we'll be buying soon a baby purchase?

Eek my last 1st tri check in! Had a good looking NT scan, will be 14 weeks on Thursday and have my anatomy scan scheduled for out 22, 4 weeks to go! QOTW: we found an awesome deal on some unused cloth diapers on kijiji and DH was so excited when we found out we were pregnant he bought some baby books.

The long story: Married my high school sweetheart and we were never all that 'safe' about sex. After we moved in together and began NTNP I went a whole year without a period and discovered a great big awful tumor on my right ovary. Less than one week later I was in surgery to cut out the tumor, ovary, and tube. I also faced possible hysterectomy, bowel reduction, and cancer. My first words when I woke up from anesthesia were, "can I still have babies?" if that tells you anything.

Turned out: no cancer (thank goodness) and I was left with a ute, left ovary and tube, and all my intestines! All the doctors said, "you should be perfectly healthy now". Well, two years after surgery and lots of humping later I finally saw an RE after another scare on my remaining ovary. DH and I both agreed to get to the baby making and not tempt fate. Another appointment with an oncologist will do that to a girl. All testing came back clear and we tried 2 IUIs before moving on to our successful IVF cycle.

The nitty gritty: May 26th EDD, Unknown number of beans.

QOTW: When I told my mom about our BFP she presented me with a box of white sleep sacks, little socks, swaddle blankets, and hats ::eye roll:: I told her no more buying until 12weeks!!
The only thing I've bought was a little pair of Nikes for announcing and a couple bras because I was thisclose to going braless.

I had my first u/s yesterday at 6w2d. We've got a yolk sac and it's in the ute but there wasn't a heartbeat yet. We go back in next Monday for a follow-up and we're crossing everything that there will be a heartbeat. I still don't have any symptoms but at least I don't have any spotting or anything to make me freak out more than I already am.

QOTW: I bought a pregnancy book for myself but am holding off on buying anything else. DH found some kids books and a little stuffed animal at a thrift shop and bought them both and I wanted to strangle him. I guess if things don't work out we can always just mail them to his brother's kids.

Hey you guys!

I am hangin in there with these food aversions, sore boobs, frequent peeing and total exhaustion during the day. At night, it is a different story! I get soooo excited that I can FINALLY lay down, and then I am awake for hours on end because I just cant seem to fall asleep, or I am uncomfortable.. too hot, too cold, this or that... **sigh** BUT I am trying not to be so sore about it, after all, it took us so long to get here... I did forget though what it is like to be pregnant... DD is 5 years old, going to be 6 a month before Baby R (last name initial) is born.

QOTW: We have not purchased anything yet, and probably won't until after the 1st u/s and most likely not until after the gender scan... I cant decide on BF or the bottle. So at this point there really isnt anything I can buy yet really, our nursery is still a spare room with a crap ton of junk in it, because DH uses it as his "man cave/shop" since we havent been able to buy one yet, which we were doing with taxes, but now, that has changed too! So I am just twiddling my thumbs until I get the go ahead to buy things lol

I love reading everyone's updates! Nothing major going on for us yet. I'm super grateful that I feel pretty good, with the exception of being completely exhausted, but it makes me nervous because I don't FEEL pregnant. Just adds to the nerves. We'll be 9 Weeks on Thursday (9/25) and have our ultrasound that day. Both of us are completely terrified.

QOTW: After our first ultrasound at 6 Weeks 1 Day where we saw & heard the heartbeat, we went out that weekend to find a little something. I wanted us to be the ones to buy the first item for baby so we got a rubber ducky and a cute onesie. We are holding out on anything else until after 1st trimester.

I'm a bit late and I was going to wait until after 2nd beta to join but...why not now? Of course, if it's easier to add me for next week that's fine too

this was our first FET of 2 embryos so logically there's the possibility of two but most likely one bean. We'll hopefully know more in a few weeks. My EDD according to the internet is 5/29/15.

I've been sort of crampy but I think it's more like muscle/ligament pains. It's hard to differentiate. my boobs hurt a lot and I'm more tired but that's it symptom-wise for me.

Hi ladies! I'm right around 9 weeks now with my 2nd ultrasound coming up this Friday! I'm excited, but of course terrified too...please let that bean continue to have grown! I've stopped progesterone and haven't had any negative effects (I.e. Spotting or anything) so I assume it must be fine.

I'm still bloated like crazy which is so awkward because I feel like people are looking at me *wondering* and a few people at work (with little class) have asked me previously if I was pregnant. Who DOES that? Any suggestions for how you would respond to these rude people? Also, for 2nd time moms, does this bloating go down at all or do we just go from "blump" to "bump"? Lol

As for other symptoms, I'd say they've lessened, but I still have strong food aversions, off and on nausea, exhaustion....and I am SO hungry constantly, but yet always have a heck of a time getting through dinner (feel most nauseous at night)

ETA QOTW: I have bought 2 pregnancy books, one for me and one for my OH. I got them at a second hand store so they were like $5 each. I just felt like if I waited until I'm more 'comfortable' (meaning 2nd tri) I would already have missed a lot of important info. But I definitely can't buy any baby clothes, etc until then. Just too nervous.

I got my second beta of 497, doubling time of 42hrs. Much better than all my other pregnancies where doubling time was 60-70hrs. My lining was still 14-15mm, good blood flow to my cervix and uterus. Progesterone was 50. I go back in another week to have all those test redone.

Thanks for running this checkin @gsancho‌! Can I please be added? My EDD is June 1st.

I'm still nervous, but our first beta came back at 264, so it's definitively real! Repeat tomorrow. I'm anxious to just see a sac hopefully next week. Our chance of another ectopic is about 20%, so just walking on eggshells till then. I'm sure I'll be walking on eggshells the whole pregnancy!!

QOTW: we haven't bought anything baby related yet. But we accepted a hand me down crib last month just because it was a really expensive one that I knew we would never splurge on for ourselves. And I really thought of it as a good luck charm!

I guess I'm in this group now too. Hello everyone! Still a little surreal to me. I haven't got any official EDD or even this is what you need to do now from the doctors, just a, "Your beta is 128." and subsequent numbers. I'm hoping the U/S on 10/3 makes this more real for me. Til then I'll just keep trekking to the bathroom.

QOTW: I have only bought 2 books. I agree that WTEWYE is the devil, my boyfriend took it away from me when we were first TTC because it would upset me so, very fatalistic those outcomes. It always felt like, "Smile, happy, cute info, *cue ominous music* unless..." He also banned me from the internet for a while. Ah, well. But we won't be buying anything for a while, too paranoid.

Although we do not know how many beans I have yet my 1st u/s is scheduled for 10/9. I am hoping and praying for a healthy bean. I had my 1st beta today and the number came back at 287. From what the nurse told me thats a strong beta for 14dpiui? I hope shes right. She told me I didnt need to retest because they usually only retest when the beta is 100 or below...have you guys heard similar stories? My EDD is 6/3/15

QOTW: When I told DH about our good news I bought a onesie and used fabric (his favorite NFL team) to make the baby a jersey for next football season. I wrapped it and gave it to him while he was grilling. It was really fun and I recorded it so I am constantly watching it but I am not planning on purchasing anything. I am too scared and I want this one to be successful so bad that I dont want to jinx anything!

April 2014- First RE appointment

July 2014- IUI#1-Canx due to scar tissue and polyps. TI with the help of Ovidrel. BFN
