Ftm. Sahm. Any ideas on what we can do? Today was one of those days I just kept looking at the clock because I feel like there's only so much you can do..
What do you mean do? Like activities? Life is an enriching activity when you're 5 months old. Go to target. Lol
Ha, Nanda, you kill me.
5 month olds - I've got one of those. I also have a 2.5 year old daughter though, so his life pretty much revolves around hers. But my basic schedule is wake, breakfast, my chores, morning activity away from home, back home for lunch, afternoon quiet time, play in backyard/park/go on a walk, prep dinner/dad gets home, eat dinner, bedtime routine.
I do my thing with the 2 year old and baby just goes with the flow Morning activity includes things like running errands, grocery shopping, play dates, swimming lessons, library story time, going on hikes, etc.

This. Although I agree with @NandaB just one baby and I'd have myself at target. Heck, I took a knitting class with dd sitting next to me at 4mo. She liked the colors and people wandering around. Coffe shop? You read, she people watches or snuggles. I can hardly remember what that's like, now I'm just a walking circus of "mama, mama I pee! Mama, I run! That mama...."repeat the whole way through afore mention stores.

Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!
shopping….enjoy it now. Once they start walking they don't want to be in a stroller anymore and it's just not as pleasurable to shop with the kid anymore.
I wish I enjoyed that time for ME when DS was that age. He loved everything! Walking about the mall, looking at ppl, all his toys still interested him. It was so much easier to run errands, exercise, walk around the mall, etc.
Go to barnes and nobles, buy a starbucks coffee, and read a book. Your 5 mo. will like be asleep or over stimulated by all they can see!

With dd I went to the gym, story times, shopping, and play dates. It's a perfect age to easily get out with them. Now with DS (he's 6 months now) I bring him to all of DDs activities like open gym/mat play and story/craft times. He either takes his morning nap or loves watching all the kids and activities.

Lol either you people forget what a 5 month old is like or mine is broken. This sounds more like a 2 month old. My five month old is not content just to sit in a stroller nor would he nap while I read a book )

My kid loved Barnes and Nobles! I would set his stroller up so he could see everything and he would play with toys/ppl watch. He also didn't start crawling until about 8/9 months so that could be it too. Mornings with him at that age were awesome...now its been pay back though. He is high energy!

Yeah no way would DS sit in a still stroller for longer than like two minutes.
It can be boring but we go for walks, play, I put him in and out the jumper throughout the day, practice sitting/rolling. We are starting mom and tot swim lessons in a few weeks. Check your local library and see what they offer.
I remember those days of clockwatching. We went for walks, did tummy time on a blanket outside, I joined a meet up group around that age and it helped a ton. I am not a baby person so the first 10 months were rough. It gets better though!

I don't think mine were ever like that.....add two more broken ones to the list! :P
We joined a mom group and will do walks/coffee once a week, a baby matinee on Mondays, and recently I took him to the aquarium and he LOVED it. I thought it may be too early, but he was so enthralled by the fish tanks. It was the best day, I plan to take him back in a couple weeks.
And grocery shopping. He loves to look at all the products on the shelves, it usually wears him out and he takes a good nap after
