4. How are you feeling?
I am happier with my reduced symptoms. I'm still sleeping a lot, but am also able to get exercise done and other things I've been neglecting. I still have MS for an hour or two in the morning. Round ligament pain took me by surprise a few days ago. I thought I had some pretty bad digestive problems until I googled it.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
I'm still waiting on the results of the Verifi re-test (the lab did botch up the test over Labor Day weekend). My next appointment is on the 25th. Hopefully I'll be able to discover the LO's gender at that appointment should the Verifi by inconclusive. We are very excited to find out.

I love the fall! I'm glad the 100 degree weather is over. We don't really do Halloween since there aren't many kids in our neighborhood, but I love Thanksgiving. DH and I tend to celebrate it on our own. (Xmas has a lot more hosting/traveling and extended family drama.) So, we have a bigger feast budget and experiment with game meats. Last year we did duck and spit roasted rabbit (grossed me out a little, I must confess). This year might be venison or elk. I guess I'll have to make sure not to infect myself with toxo!

We want to repaint our kitchen in the next couple of months, trim and all. I'm trying to figure out if I have the energy to help DH do it, or if we have to hire painters.

@NeonNoon‌ I tried elk summer sausage for the first time this past winter and it was so yummy. And we are going to paint our kitchen too. Just need to find a color I like.

4. How are you feeling? I am so sick with this cold/sinus junk going around. The coughing started a couple days ago. But I think it is finally winding down.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? I go to my first GD appt next week. Got my meter yesterday to start testing myself in the am so I can show them. Then my first HR appt is the following week.

But we rarely get one here in Arkansas. It usually goes from hot to freezing. It is a lovely time for tornados though. Maybe I will feel better soon to decorate for Halloween.

4. I am miserable! The last few weeks are horrible! Just ready to see my little girl.

5. I am scheduled for an induction on September 24th unless I go on my own before then.

I love fall and no one else in my family has a September birthday which I think is awesome! I have like 6 family members born in August. The weather is great and the change in scenery is breathtaking.

Nope - this is our first anything!

4. How are you feeling?
Finally feeling ok! Dare I say it but I think this is the first week I didn't throw up!! YAY (let's hope I didn't just jinx it!)

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
We had our follow-up a/s on Weds - baby cooperated and they got all the measurements they needed. We are still team Green!

Rant: was just talking to my sister this morning (we are not super close but bond over annoying stuff our parents do) and complaining how our dad is obsessed with my staying active (I go to the gym 2 - 3x per week - prenatal strengthening, prenatal water class, trainer; and I still try to get around 10k/4miles step per day)... then she warns me how once our LO arrives our parents - esp dad is very judgmental/opinionated right from the moment you return from the hospital. I then told her - oh, well don't discuss with mom and dad since I am telling them when they are here next week - but we have decided we only want it to be us the first week...will have mom and dad come up the 2nd week (they live 8 hrs away by car - so would fly them up). She then goes - wait, so I can't even be in the hospital (she lives even further away). I tell her no - she then says well can I come up week 2 - I tell her we need to see how I feel (plus it is height of cold/flu season and she has 2 kids who are CONSTANTLY sick in the winter - so she would be carrying their germs)... and we just don't know how we will feel. I told her I was thinking more like after the first month. She then goes - well I really hope for your child's sake you aren't going to keep family out of their life. Umm - having time with our first child and not wanting to be overwhelmed and expose him/her to too many germs the first month does not qualify as keeping family out of their life! She then said 'well you all were there with my first and mom and dad for the 2nd'. I told her yes, and that was her choice - if she didn't want us, she should have said that. Just really upset because I would hope she could respect our decision, and more than anything that comment about keeping family out of the baby's life I found to be inappropriate, rude and hurtful. OK - rant over - sorry it was so long!

I love the fall! It is my favorite season as the foliage is beautiful, the air is crisp, etc. Only plans/goals I have - continue to look for a new job - interview next week so that is at least a step; and of course clean out the guest room and get going on the conversion to a nursery.

@Lady2010‌ I don't blame you one bit. I am also nervous about delivering in Jan. My youngest got the flu (even after the shot) in Jan last year and I had a horrible cough that lasted from Dec to Jan last year. It is not a great time to be having babies. You do what you feel is best for your family. Since I had this cough/congestion I didn't get to see my new nephew this week. I stayed out in the waiting room. As a parent I knew better than to track it in there.

Very thankful and happy. Just found out yesterday. I am a little crampy and bloated, and boobs hurt...but that just tells me the little one is growing.

I have an appt to meet the midwife on Oct 1st, then my first u/s at 8.5 weeks on Oct 22nd.

Yes! I am a huge lover of Summer, but Fall is fun. I love Halloween so much, and love pumpkin spiced lattes. I also love college football.

3) other kiddos/ fur babies? One DS 2 1/2 and dog named pearl( a mixed rescue)
4) how are you feeling? Pretty good! Did have some sciatica pain on left side yesterday, but overall can't complain!
5) upcoming appts, milestones or rants and raves? Next appt is Oct 6th, for check up of baby and cervix. Raving about cervix doing well and off of bed rest and restrictions for now! Yay...

Tired, but other than that not too bad. I had some serious aversion to any kind of meat in the beginning but no MS. I threw up with both my DD.

Routine visit 10/2 and 20 wk U/S 10/16. Not finding out what the gender is with this one

Get well soon @mandyreads.. I'm starting to get pregnancy rhinitis. I hope that doesn't evolve into an infection.

@Lady2010 - I completely sympathize with your family situation. My family has trouble respecting my decisions too.

On the plus side, last I checked (a few months ago), this year's flu strains are supposed to be very similar to last year's. I think even the flu shots are the same. So, hopefully we'll all be less likely to get sick.

4. How are you feeling? My M/S seems to be subsiding on certain days. I felt great Monday and Tuesday, Not so great Wednesday, Thursday wasn't bad and today has been a little off. The exhaustion is still persistent.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? NT scan/bloodwork on Oct 2nd, with regular OB appointment to follow on the same day. RANT: The prenatal clinic that does the NT scan, 20 week anatomy scan and additional scans later in the pregnancy is no longer located in the same building as my OB. They are 3 streets over. UGH!!!

I'm finally starting to feel a reduction in symptoms, except my boobs hurt worse yesterday than the whole time I've been pregnant! Whew! I was having lower abdomen pains too the past few days, I wonder if that's also the round ligament pain? My MS may have finally stopped and I haven't felt sick after eating the past few days either. FX!

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Oct 2nd next OB appt and then anatomy scan Oct 23rd @ 19 weeks, can't wait!

The fall is my favorite time of year too, I love watching the leaves change colors! I just hope we don't go from summer straight into winter like we have the past few years! We had a fairly mild summer here this year, so it's been in the upper 70s the past few weeks. I love all of the warm scents during fall and the holidays too, pumpkin & spices, it feels like a warm hug in the cool weather.

I'm looking forward to getting back to the gym and swimming/doing water aerobics! It's my goal to find a work/life balance again so I can do the things I want to do and not be bogged down by work!

1. Due date? How many weeks are you? What size is baby? I am 33 weeks. Baby is the size of a Durian fruit, which no one in North America has ever heard of, but the Bump likes it well enough (I have heard it smells like death, but tastes like citrus?)

2. Age at delivery? (optional) 43 (just turned a few days ago)

3. Any other children? Furbabies? I have a 2.5 year old son and two dogs who need their nails cut.

4. How are you feeling? Aside from the nosebleeds, Braxton Hicks, ragingly painful sciatica, insomnia, and crankiness about being on the GD diet and sticking myself 4 times a day? Fantastic! Grrr.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? I have another nonstress test this Monday. Am hoping that the baby is perkier than last week, so I don't have to have another biophysical profile. I will probably be meeting with the nutritionist again. My fasting numbers are not behaving. I am stressed, and when stressed, my sugars are out of whack.

4. Feeling?...not well. I have felt off all week and started having brown discharge and back pain and front pressure on Wednesday. On Thursday saw the doc and I am dialated to 1, cervix is thinning and baby is LOW. She thinks the brown is losing my mucus plug. So she pulled me from work (physical job). I have been resting since but got exhausted tonight just going to the store briefly. Like it is strain to even walk. All my other kids were past due-I've never experienced this!

5. Next appt is Thursday. I wonder if I should request a nst? I hope she is taking this seriously enough, it's alarming to me.

qttw-well now with the situation, fall fairs are out of the question for me, as is doing things in the yard that I usually like. No walking all over apple and pumpkin picking either. Dh and kids can enjoy and tell me about it after.

I got to see the baby for the first time this week on ultrasound. Baby looked great and was wiggling around!

Rant - everyone has been so sick in my house. It has been going on 2 weeks! I am the only one that has not got sick. Poor hubby has been on the couch for a week. I kicked him out of the bedroom. Lol! I am so not looking forward to the winter and more bugs. Sometimes I wish I could home school, but I am pretty sure my girls would hate me for taking them out of public school. Just get sick of them bringing home all the crap.

I love fall! Got this super cute brown fitted jacket a few months ago that I was planning on wearing this fall. It is already tight. Lol! We hope to go apple and pumpkin picking soon! Could be round ligament pain @mdogan29. For me it's pretty classic. I have bursts of pain in the lower abdomen or side of pelvis when I stand up after sitting, or when changing positions in bed. Apparently exercise can exacerbate it.

4. How are you feeling?

I can definitely tell the first trimester yuck is getting better, but it's not gone yet. One minute, I think 'wow, I've made it all the way to 3:00 without needing Zofran.' Then at 3:05 I feel like puking and have to take some.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
My 12-week check is on Wednesday where I'll ask about labs, plus we have an ultrasound on Friday. No rants. At least no there. There's too much, and none is related to the pregnancy.

NO. I love summer. When I lived in Florida, I didn't even miss the other seasons. I don't feel like I've fully enjoyed summer unless I've spent enough time at the pool / lake / ocean. Well, I didn't make it to any this summer, or last summer (new baby). So I feel like I've been jipped and I'm just not ready for fall yet. However, I DO love football and crockpot meals on Sundays.

4. How are you feeling? The constant nausea is backing off, but the morning illness and occasional, sudden onset of MS still happens. As a FTM, all this body changing is definitely weird and surreal to experience.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves? We have the 12 week appointment this week, and my husband will join. I'm a bit anxious to make sure everything is going alright.

Rant: I told some friends yesterday that I was expecting. One friend was sweet and congratulatory, but it almost immediately turned into a conversation among the group about how most of them don't want kids and find it very selfish and self-centered to have kids when the world is overpopulated and there are kids that could be adopted. I made the best of it, and just kind of watched the dialogue - but it hurt my feelings. It's hard feeling left behind and out of the group of friends who already have kids and have moved on with their life and left all the non-parents behind, and then it feels hard being rejected by friends who feel the need to make our pregnancy about them and their choice to not have kids. It would have been nice if they could have managed to just suck it up for the hour or so we saw each other, and save the complaining and condescension for after I left.

I love the fall, and now that I am feeling better, I plan to get more of the organizing done and crafty kinds of things I enjoy doing. I'd like to enjoy some of the festivals, and enjoy the weather...when it finally really does get a little more fall-like. It's been an unusually long, hot summer here so I look forward to the change.

4. How are you feeling? Tired. I had a lot of dizziness and vertigo over the weekend but am feeling ok now.

Generally good. I'm super tired, but I'm generally comfortable.

5. Any upcoming appointments, milestones, rants or raves?
Appointment today- I go every week now (and have appointments scheduled through 39 weeks).

A rave, I guess- I got a job offer last week for an awesome perm position. The down side is that it is contingent- meaning that it didn't come with a start date so I still am looking b/c I would like to work again before the end of the year (I contract).

I like all of the seasons for different reasons, but I probably look forward to fall the least b/c it means that our days are getting shorter and we'll be in the throws of winter soon. Two October babies definitely gives me something to look forward to in the fall, though. Our older son is more interested in Halloween, wearing a costume, carving a pumpkin, etc so it will be fun to do those things with him in a few weeks. We're huge college football fans so Saturdays include watching a few games while we go other tasks.

I haven't taken part in the weekly check in here in months, so I thought I should do it again before it's too late !

1. 37w6d. Due date is October 8, but my induction has been scheduled to start October 1.

2. 37.

4. I'm feeling like I'd really like to sleep! I've had contractions for a couple of hours in the middle of the night for the past two nights. They're just in my upper abdomen, but they're painful.

5. I had a final ultrasound today to check the baby's estimated size. The tech said he's about 6lbs 10oz, which would be great. Having preexisting diabetes has made me very nervous about this kid's size.

QOTW: It's going to remain grossly hot and humid where I am for a while, so the fall weather is nothing to get excited about. But it does mark my wedding anniversary, so that's fun!
