-The OR is extremely cold. Every time we bring a mom in there they are shivering and shaking. Even the dads in their light OR scrubs are cold!
-You still get postpartum vaginal bleeding if you have a c-section. This always seems to surprise the moms who think they get out of this one with the c/s.
-You still get postpartum uterine checks (aka the RN grinding on your belly which feels like stomping).
-You have the same chance of hemorrhoids with a c/s...they usually come during 3T not during delivery. Yay!

I was surprised at the bleeding after! This article would've been awesome to have read. Luckily they had heated blankets for me because it was totally freezing in there.

For me, she hit the nail on the head with #s 2, 5 & 6! Her experience was almost exactly like mine.

Maybe I had gentle nurses (although I feel like I'd remember?), but I honestly don't remember uterine checks.

1, 2, 5, and 3. I totally thought I could skip meds, Omg don't do it. Take them, on time. Luckily I was prescribed stool softeners, ask for those!

This list is completely accurate! The pooping was the worst, I think it was a full week after DS was born. My nurse was handing my stool softeners like candy.
