Help me find a new haircut/color

I want to change my hair up. Right now it's long, dark brown on top ombre'ing (is that a word??) to lighter brown at the ends. I wear it naturally wavy, but could be compelled to start straightening my hair again. I will probably have to as I don't want to sleep with wet hair during the winter months anyway.

So, I'm looking for A) a new haircolor: light golden brown and

a new haircut: looking for something a little longer than shoulder length.

Suggestions or resources? I honestly don't know where to look for this stuff except to flip through my monthly Glamour magazine.
