Troubleshoot my Toddler's Naptime Diapers

E has started leaking during her naps. She has always napped in a Freetime, and uses a BB with a doubler and a cotton help insert overnight.
All of her fitteds got passed down to P for overnight, she is a heavier wetter than E ever has been.
I only have 3 BB doublers and hemp inserts. What can I do for E's naps so we don't have to keep washing sheets every day?

Two flats/FSTs in a cover? Bamboo prefold?

Would 2 FSTs be more absorbent than a Freetime?

Yes I think so. Anecdotally, my toddler can pee through a Freetime in 1.5-2 hours. Two FSTs will last him 2-3 hours.

What fold do you use? Can my nanny master it easily?

I have a couple of very inexpensive hemp doublers from gmd. They are super trim. You could add 1-2 of those to her freetime??

I have applecheeks bamboo inserts, but wasn't sure if it would cause gaps.

I would guess an AC would cause a gap, but you could try and see.

I usually pad fold one FST and lay it in an origami folded flat. I think withh the right cover you could just use two pad folded flats. Thirsties Duo size 2 and Blueberry Coveralls, maybe?

I'm guessing 2 pad folded flats won't work BC she leaks out the side. I think she needs the side absorption.

New diapers?

Maybe try the AC in a Freetime and see how it does. Otherwise does P use all the inserts with the fitteds yet? If not could you borrow a couple to stuff in Freetimes? Or what about using a small or med. BB hemp/cotton insert as a doubler?

My last suggestion, or really my first, is some inexpensive thinner fitteds like Workhorses or Thirsties Duo fab fitteds.

An AC definitely didn't fit. So I doubt a bb will either. I'll look at a fst next time. P does use all the inserts. And still leaks. She's a pee machine.

Would an ac bamboo hold more inside an sbish fitted than the inserts it came with?
