I haven't used a website for comparison before but if you have another insurance policy (like homeowners) I'd definitely give them a call. Most carriers will offer a multi policy discount and it can be a fairly substantial discount.

Ouch! We pay $87 for two cars with full coverage, a boat and renters insurance.
My FIL owns his own insurance branch and he does all the work for us. He bundles everything to get us the best discounts. I can't remember where you are (CA, I believe), but he's in the IE if you want his contact info.

Yeah...shop around! That sounds insane to me (unless y'all are under 25 with citations on your record). Ours is like $125 a month with 2 newer model cars with full coverage through MET Life.
Ha! No we're 34 and 38 with good records. We have one newer car (2012 chrysler town & country) and one older car (2002 Honda civic)
