is anyone feeling worse at 15 weeks

I had major food aversions, gagging and constant nausea first trimester, but then around 13 weeks things calmed down. Headaches started, but I had the surge of energy they talk about.

Now I have major nausea during the night too and am pretty sure I'm going to throw up any moment now.

Is anyone else feeling worse all of a sudden? Did I eat something bad or is this something that can happen?

Re: is anyone feeling worse at 15 weeks

  • Symptoms can come and go at any time. I'm feeling better during the day but I get my ass kicked at night. And now the heartburn has started on top of it. The joys of pregnancy.

  • You're not alone. I'm ok during the day now, at least no longer on meds. I even show up to work for 1/2 day. Then when 4;30 comes around I will need my couch or bed. Last night I threw up 3 times, and half my dinner was in the toilet. I'm also getting headaches too.
  • I'm not worse, I've just been pretty consistent in my symptoms since about 8-9 weeks. I'm 15w but I'm still super nauseous in the mornings, throwing up every other day. Headaches/migraines atleast 1-2 times a week, and just seriously exhausted all day long. no energy what so ever. I'm still waiting for my symptoms to calm down. Good luck to you!

  • Still sick. 15 weeks. It's not as bad in the afternoons, and sometimes if I eat early and light enough, I don't throw up dinner. I find an effective aid is to never eat until your full. Headaches are always eased for me by drinking more water. I still am afflicted by ptyalism (excessive saliva) due to the pregnancy, and that has not improved in the slightest. Fingers crossed that it lets up soon for everyone!

  • I am getting worst as the weeks go on.  I hit 1pm and just want to leave work and go home.  Dinner does not stay down well anymore either.

  • Thanks everyone. Not happy to hear of your suffering, but glad I am not alone.  *big hugs*
  • I had severe nausea all along with non-stop gagging and dry heaving but no vomiting until week 15. Then last week I threw up more mornings than not during the work week. I do still get better throughout the day though so fortunately I am still "improving" in that sense. An NP at my doctors office thought it was very strange and kept telling me that I should be feelif better. I would talk to your doctor. Are you on any medicine? I take diclegis, two at night and one around 3pm and this gets me through dinner time. They recently also added Zofran to the mix to help with the "bad days".

You're definitely not alone but I would still call your doctor because their might be something that they could do to help you.
  • I felt ok from weeks 13-15. Week 16 things started to get rough again.

  • Thanks again everyone!  I felt a lot better since I posted. I think it was something we ate, since my hubby was having discomfort too the day I posted.  (I didn't know it at the time.)

Hope everyone improves and feels good soon!
  • @Skrittens‌ I've had something similar, felt better around 14 weeks and weeks 16-18 have been rough again! It's such a tease to think that 2nd trimester is going to be great, only to realize that you might be one of the women who gets sick for the whole pregnancy. It's a daily adventure!!
  • I don't want to reply afraid I might jinks myself...but my most common Google search has been nausea week by week and now going into 15 weeks and I am still vomiting and even after taking the diclegis...praying it goes away soon
