I have a family birthday party/get-together to go to in Oct.
What are some dishes that you like to bring to a party? Doesn't have to be quick and easy (although nice!) but nothing time consuming. No seafood, please.

I'm going to tell you about our secret family recipe but I have to warn you that if you take this dish to your get-together you will never be able to take any other dish. It will be forever requested and people will be upset if you bring something else. Also these are not low fat.
Two packages lil smokies, 1-2 packages bacon (depending on the type and size), and 1 cup brown sugar. Wrap each lil smokie in bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place meat mixture in the crock pot and sprinkle brown sugar over the top. Cook on high for 2 hours low for 4. We usually take them in the crock pot and let them cook longer while they're there. The longer they cook the more yummy they become.
@Oohgurl How could I forget about that?! I think I am sold! And I love that it can be done in the crock pot.
@sct728 That roasted red pepper spread sounds really good!
@huzzahuzza Your secret is safe with me. And no one worries about their calories at our get-togethers.
@3timemom I never thought about bite sized pizzas. Great idea!
@cgiles120812 Those cream cheese crescents are really good! I have made them before, but with chicken. And then we also added hot sauce to when we made them the 2nd time. DH loves them!
These are all great ideas, thanks so much ladies! Unfortunately, I am now hungry, haha. I'll have to try these recipes at each of the next family gatherings.
