Another GroVia Question

How many soakers per shell?  I had 3-4 for my Best Bottoms before I destashed.  Same?  Or because of the mesh are they less salvageable and stick with two soakers per shell?

    Are you getting cotton or stay dry? The cool thing about the Grovia soakers is they are PUL backed. But I think they aren't as absorbent as the BB inserts. So I guess I'd say it averages out to 2-3 per shell for us. I use flats under my Grovia shells more than the Grovia inserts.

    I'm getting stay dry.  That is kind of disheartening to hear :(  I had organic BB inserts and I didn't find them that absorbent at all.  I never tried a BB Stay Dry though.

    lol look at you being the voice of reason.  I'm thinking for my H though.  He won't touch a prefold with a ten foot pole. 

    He thinks I'm mean because I have my nanny using trifolded prefolds in tuckable covers....which I load for her and she just has to throw on the bum.

    Similar to BestBottoms you can keep re-using the Grovia shell as long as you don't get poop on the shell.  The Grovia inserts are backed with TPU so the mesh doesn't get wet (and you can remove the insert without touching pee).   The mesh makes them not as re-usable when using prefolds or flats, but if you alternative covers and let them air between you can still re-use them a couple times.   I have the stay-dry insert and I love that they are hemp inside, but stay-dry on top.  Because they are only 4 layers of hemp/cotton blend they are not as absorbent as a large Best bottom hemp insert, but I've found them sufficient for daytime use.  Grovia does sell doublers that can be placed on top or in-between the layers of the insert to increase absorbancy.
