little miss slept horrible last night and woke up from her nap today sniffly, red nosed and red eyed. No fever but not feeling great. Think it's a cold? Allergies? How can I make her feel better?
DD keeps waking up in the night really stuffed up and snorting. I keep one of those bulb aspirators by the bed and suction what I can. She actually doesn't seem to mind it, which is good! If she needs a little loosening up, I have her sit in the bathroom while I take a hot, steamy shower.
When DS was a baby he was congested a lot. I would put him in his bouncy seat in the bathroom while I showered so the steam would help loosen him up. They also make saline gel drops for babies which helps some. Baby vapor rub on the feet then socks will also help.
Baby saline drops and a Nose Frida. I always thought the Nose Fridas were nasty, but they get a ton of snot out. DD had a small cold about 2 weeks ago. It screwed with her sleep for a while, but she got over the actual cold pretty quickly.
Just left the pedi for the same thing along with a random cough. She said saline drops, suctioning the mucus, cool mist humidifier, take her in the bathroom and run the shower hot to get the steam to loosen things up - bring her back if she has a fever or coughing gets worse.
