I'm making broccoli cheese chicken for dinner and picante mac n cheese on the side. Lots of cheese but idc, it's delicious!! It's my first time making both dishes so I'm excited yet cautious to see how they turn out.
I'm still pretty sore from my surgery the other day but DH has been a trooper with helping me out and so has my mom. And Joey decided to take a 3.5 hr nap earlier!!! I may or may not pay for that later.
I went to the fair with DH and DD yesterday. I got a chocolate pb milkshake from my IL's stand, cactus taters (a mix between a fry and chip) with old bay, and a buffalo chicken grilled cheese. I did refrain from the fried oreos, twinkies, candy bars, etc
Today I donated 150oz (i gave her my 'newborn' stash) to a mom that had placenta abruption this morning at 30 weeks. She had to have a csection, and our local hospital doesn't have a nicu so she's stuck locally while her baby is up the road. The baby's hospital requires moms to sign a waiver (in person) to receive donor milk so she had to get her own. We have a pretty awesome local #momtribe so she and her family should be set in regards to getting ready for the baby, meals, etc. I'm really proud of how quickly everyone banded together. Mom and baby are doing well all things considered.
Also, this donation today makes it 1050 ounces donated so far! Really happy I'm able to help some local mamas out.
I took Addie for her 1 year old photos today. First, we stopped at the Dollar Tree to get balloons inflated. I was told they don't inflate latex balloon. Fail. Then I got there and got her dressed in her onsie and tutu. She cried every time I put her down for the pictures. After a half hour, we gave up. Then she had a poop explosion on the way home on her tutu.

I managed to pump nearly 5 Oz this morning before work the most I have ever managed to pump. Rachel refused to drink it. He tried a sippy, a bottle, warm and cold and she wanted nothing to do with it. I'm so sad.
I took Carmen to the zoo with my sister, her kids, and my mom. My sister and the kids spent the night with my mom and we planned to meet at the zoo at 9:30. I was a little early and got the best parking spot ever, and everyone else showed up around 11. My mom had low blood sugar and it took awhile to get her up. I'm glad my sister got to witness it because I need her support in trying to convince my mom that she needs assistance.
Carmen had a great time at the zoo until we got to the zebras and she started screaming. She had been stung by a bee! Right below her left eye. DH is allergic to bees, and I don't have much experiences with stings, so we went to first aid and had her checked out. She was giggly and happy by the time we got there and they explained to me what an allergic reaction looks like and assured me that Carmen's sting looked normal.
Then my mom spent nearly $200 on souvenir crap for everyone and pointed out that I didn't get anything. I looked down at my smiling kid and told her that was all I needed.
I finished data collection on the last of my masters research last week. (Napoleon Dynamite fist pump gif here). This weekend has been a mad dash of organizing the data so when the stats guy gets here tomorrow, I don't waste his time.
Unfortunately I'm worried my data doesn't look too good, though I won't know til the stats guy works his magic. This study was supposed to lay the groundwork for another study in the spring, and if my data doesn't prove what I thought it would, the bigger spring study collapses too. So I'll feel personally responsible for destroying a study with 5 of my coworkers on it
Plus if I can't get this data accepted for publication, then I have to do a new study to complete the masters. At this point I don't even want to consider it. I planned to wrap this degree up by Dec when I move, box up this chapter of my life and break free--and that thought is what's kept me going these past few months.
tl;dr I never say this, but just for tonight, %science
I finally broke down and bought extra iCloud storage. I have a 32 GB phone and I can't update the software because I have too many damn pictures. Not to sound like an old person, but I don't know if I trust the cloud with my pictures. Plus I don't know how to work it.
@MangoMama82 just to alarm you, unless I did something wrong (which I could have), but my iphone got submerged in water last month and I had to get a new phone. Of course I had thousands(like 3) of pictures on my phone. They couldn't be transfered so I figured I would log onto my computer to the icloud. I couldn't get any pictures back. Maybe they go somewhere else, I am not sure. But I would backup my pictures if I were you somewhere else. Luckily I had just done it early July so I didn't lose all of them, but I figured I would tell you.
On a side note, if anyone does know if my pictures magically went somewhere in the cloud, please let me know. I would appreciate it.
I had this problem this summer when my phone went for a swim. When I got a new iPhone, I restored from iCloud or something like that when you are setting your new phone up for the very first time. All my pics were there!
I couldn't figure out how to access them on the computer either.
My parents gave me my bday present today since they were out of town the day of. It was a really cute bag and then my mom saidthe other half of the ppresent was in the envelope I opened it on the way home. Therewas only the card. I wowon't say anything because the bag was more than enough, but I'm very curious.
I just learned today that "II" following a name is not the same as "jr". I honestly thought some people were dummies and using "the second" instead of naming their son "junior".
It's not the same?? Do tell!
------------------------------------------------ I'm not sure what OP means but in our family it goes like this Albert John Applesauce (he's the original my grandpa) the his son Is Albert John Applesauce Jr. (My uncle) and then my cousin is Albert John Applesauce the III.

From time to time I daydream about my future babies names. My son is Elliott. If we have s girl next, is Eloise too close for comfort? NN for LO is Eli and NN for Eloise would probably be Lou.
