So I've been seeing a depletion in my supply when pumping and I knew my supply would do that as Layla got older but I find it so frustrating. She will be 11 months on Wednesday and I really want to make it to a year of pumping and giving her breast milk but I don't know if that will actually happen. Any chance of trying to increase my supply for the month before I start weaning from pumping? If I can't make it, do i start supplementing with whole milk or formula? Is it kind of silly to supplement with formula this late in the game and so close to her 1st birthday?
Re: Pumping supply/intro to whole milk
Anyway, her doctor said it was better to just go to WCM at this point than to go to formula for a month. Better than upsetting her tummy twice he said.
there are plenty of other herbs/supplements/food that help, fenugreek, blessed thistle, oatmeal, flax seed....check out this article, the bottom third or so of the page:
