Those who had a CS

How are you feeling PP? I'll be 7 weeks out on Thursday and I'm all messed up. I keep getting these areas on my incision that are like little puss spots. Doc says there in grown hairs and nothing to worry about. However, Friday I got this pain in my left side and hurts bad when I move my leg like to put my pants on or sit. It kinda feel like a burning or like I'm being cut. Now there's a purple bruise looking spot above my incision on the same side. I'm so done. I need to be freaking normal again. Anyone experience anything like this? I really would've expected to be much better by 7 weeks.

Re: Those who had a CS

  • I have not experienced either of those things. The pus spots i know sometimes are the internal stitches dissolving, but the pain/bruise I would definitely call tomorrow about. Hopefully it will be something that goes away quickly.

  • I had an "ingrown hair" pus spot. I kept it clean and covered it with gauze and it went away pretty quick. Have not experienced anything like the pain. I'm 8 weeks pp. You should probably call the doctor.

  • Thanks. I'm definitely calling tomorrow. Of course these things always happen on Fridays so I have to wait and worry all weekend.
  • I'm 4 weeks out and have nothing like that going on. Occasional itching and numbness but nothing else. I would definitely get an appointment like others have said.
  • Almost eight weeks PP here and I am completely back to normal. I think you should call your doctor again, I never experienced with either CS anything like what you're dealing with.

    All of this!

  • In 4 weeks pp, and I get the same burning sensation you're talking about. It's nothing like it was, but for about 3 weeks it felt like I was being melted from the inside out! But it feels better this past week.

I still feel like I'm sunburned around my incision.

  • I'm experiencing some of those things. My incision had puss, and my doctor said it could be an yeast infection and that canesten should help. He also said that pain in the sides of the incision is normal and is caused by the internal stitches.

  • I called last Thursday because of what I now think were ingrown hairs and a scab that came off and started looking yucky. The nurse told me to put neosporin on it. I was pissed. I had an infection at about 2 weeks and it was looking similar. I really felt like they should have had me come in. The ingrown hairs (or whatever) are better. I will call tomorrow if the other spot isn't looking normal. I have pain on one side that is scar tissue related and was starting light massage to help before I had this problem.

  • I'll be 6 weeks out on Thursday and have a lot of sensitivity near the incision site. I hate when anything touches it. Beyond that, I get really sore in the abdomen anytime I over-exert myself. I also recently got really bad pain in my side (only mine was on the right), but it went away after an hour or so.
I'm being featured in a new pregnancy/motherhood blog during the month of October, so if you ever wanted to know more about my pregnancy, birth, and motherhood experiences than anyone ever should, check out my posts in the link below! :)

  • Ill also be 7 weeks pp on Thursday. One ingrown hair, but no other symptoms other than pain during my internal exam @ 6 weeks. I hope everything heals up!

  • I had the same burning pain for the first 3 weeks post c/s. Dr. Said it had to do with the nerves and told me keep taking the Motrin. Eventually it went away. Don't over do it. I hope you feel better soon.

  • That far out and still having issues with pus or anything similar is a healing issue and I would make arrangements with DR to get checked. I'm 9 weeks out and the only issues Ive had have been loss of sensation which I still have. I have also had numerous, numerous abdominal surgeries in my life and healing should be accomplished several weeks ago. :(
