So, my coworker...

Is 17 weeks pregnant. Today, she told me she's been smoking pot to help with nausea. I was a bitch about, looked at her like she was crazy and told her she needs to quit. Told her not only can it cause harm to the baby, but if they test her and she pops positive, CPS will get involved. And if the baby tests positive, she faces losing the child and having charges brought against her.

She didn't know any of that. Thought that since it was Washington, and it's legal, it would be ok.

I just can't help but shake my head. I don't know what to do about it or say to her.

Sorry, just can't handle the stupid and had to share.

it's good you told her.  dumb (reckless, harmful, etc) of her to not have thought it through beforehand or dome done a simple google search even, but i suppose all she can do from here on out is make smarter choices, which i certainly hope she does!

  • I'm a CNA, but yes we are in healthcare. Not going to lie, it pissed me off. Mr thought process "you do drugs and accidentally get pregnant, I take 2 years TTC and lose a baby, not fair."
  • If she messed with my pump breaks I would destroy her, but she doesn't. And as long as she is not smoking pot at work, they won't test her.
