Tell me this isn't happening - HFM

Does this look like HFM to you? He also has spots on his arms and feet. :(

  • He had a slight fever yesterday and a bit this morning. The rash didn't start until this morning. So I have 3-4 more days of discomfort? After my crazy day, one toilet overflowing, this is the last thing we needed. I'm gonna cry.

  • Others have mentioned the nail thing too. Great. Just great. I'm crossing my fingers for a mild case. Seriously, DS and I had some stomach thing in July. DS, DD2 and I had another stomach bug in August, then everyone got sore throats that we just got over. No more.

  • When DD and I had it, no one had fingernails fall off, so maybe that won't happen? We didn't even get the sores until after we got better. My hands and feet felt like they had needles in them when I walked, and then days later the blisters rose to the surface. We had about 3 miserable days, but then slowly recovered after that. Sorry you guys are going through this. HFM is no fun!

  • Dd had a really mild case, no blisters it sores but three nails fell off. They didn't fall off until it her underneath though. It wasn't like when you lose a nail normally.

  • Thanks everyone, we must've had the mildest case ever. 2.5 days of slight fever and the blisters are starting to fade in some spots and new ones are coming in other spots, but they're really not bad. No sores in the mouth so far. Now, if only no one else gets it...
