Babies: 6 - 9 Months

My 6 month old doesn't want to sleep after his bottle in the middle of the night....!!!

So my 6 month old is fighting his sleep after he wakes up only once in the middle of the night 2:00am to be exact, I am not sure why. I try to put more warm pj's on him to maybe see if he's cold but nothing. I rock him to sleep but once I place him in his crib he starts moving and moving like if he's uncomfortable, so I just go to my bed and sleep him there and once he's asleep, I put him back to him crib and that seems to work. Any one going through this? anything that I can do so he can stop doing that? He's teething but I don't see anything yet but I don't think is that. Any advise helps.

Thanks!!!!

  • HaHa! Exact same thing here. When I bring him to bed with us, he falls right back to sleep.  I then put him in his bed and he's good until 6-6:30am.  I think maybe he's just going through some separation anxiety.  He hasn't done it the past couple of nights, which has been fantastic on my end!

Great for you! lol but for me he still does it. I hope he gets better sooner!

  • He's waking at exactly 2am every night because he's been getting a bottle then for however long and so now his body is accustomed to eating at that time.

I think the only thing you can do to avoid the 2am party is to wean him from that feeding (if that's what you wish to do). If he's getting enough during the day, he doesn't need a night feeding from a nutritional standpoint.

You're right. Actually now he starting sleeping through the night. Just yesterday night he wasn't sleeping well because he had a lot of mucus so I used his nose frida but he already had 3 days in a row sleeping through the night.
