How often do you bathe LO?

We bathe him about 3 times a week(sometimes 2). I would like to daily since his hair gets so greasy, but he hates it so much I can't put him through it that often.

  • 8 weeks old and everyday. He started loving it about 3 weeks ago. His neck is full of rolls and gets milk in it. And his hair gets greasy.

  • 2-3 times per week here too. She has sensitive skin and bathing her more often makes her break out, even with fancy sensitive Aveeno soap and lotion and such.

In your situation, think of it this way: the head grease prevents your LO from getting cradle cap.
  • About twice a week. Her hair gets greasy too, but whatever, the rest of her is clean! She does like having her hair done under the sink (like at a salon), so the rest of her stays dry- I may start doing that more often, maybe part of a bedtime routine

  • Twice a week here.  Will start doing it more often in a few weeks, probably.  We're still doing sponge baths...just easier.  Will get the baby tub out eventually!

  • Every other day (3 weeks) and he seems to like it. Next month, I'll probably start bathing him every day and get a schedule going.

  • We were bathing about twice a week up until week six. This week we started doing a nightly bath because I want to try to start a bit of a routine for DD (and me). We've noticed that she's up for a long stretch in the evenings and I want a way to start signaling to her that it's almost bedtime (Who knows I could just be crazy thinking that this will work).

To combat drying out her skin too much I've only been using soap every other bath or so. I also haven't done her head/hair the last two days because she hates it and I was noticing it was getting too dry.

  • He is 3 weeks and just lost his umbilical cord a couple days ago, so we were just sponge bathing 2-3 times a week. He finally had his first real bath last night :) We plan to do bath every other night unless he really needs it, obviously. When he is a little older then will do every night.

  • Twice a week in the baby tub (8 weeks old). I do spot cleaning (washcloth for hands/face/neck) on the other days if he's been spitting up etc.

  • A full on bath is once a week (per hospital and pedi) but we sponge bath with warm water daily.

  • At 7 weeks we bathe her twice a week. We will probably start nightly baths as part of a bedtime routine in another month or so.

  • 8 weeks and were every other day and he loves them. I moved his arms to splash the water last night and got a big smile. He gets a warm wash cloth wipe down on off days to get the neck rolls clean
  • LO is 5 weeks & we bathe 2-3 times a week. His hair doesn't get too greasy but I like having his nether regions thoroughly cleaned. Oh and I also notice dirt under his fingernails lol.

This. We are at 7 weeks
  • Every day. LO loves bath time and it's part of our bed time routine. I also struggle to get the milk out of his neck rolls... I've got a chub-a-lub!

  • Daily and always have done daily. She doesn't mind it. It's part of our bedtime routine for both kids that we start from day one. DD spits up a lot and DS did too.

  • Almost daily.  He spits up so much that he often smells bad.

  • Right now we bathe DD 2-3x per week with wipe downs other nights as necessary. DS gets a bath every night as part of his bed time routine. Once she gets a little older we will do every night with her as well. We won't soap her every day though.

  • We aim for weekly. I suck at baths -- they stress me out even though DS seems to like them. But I wait for DH to get around to giving him one. He bathes DD nightly so really we should coordinate but we're still finding our routine at 5 weeks old.
  • Weekly plus as needed for poop explosions. Happily she only smells when she's passing gas, a not infrequent occasion. ;)
  • We're at 7weeks and we do it nightly. Not only does she love it but it's part of our bed time routine and she's a messy eater, so it's good she loves it! To protect against dry skin we use an organic lotion right after, which we put on while giving her a little baby massage. Partnered with the routine, I feel like it helps her relax and understand that is bedtime.
  • 2x a week. DD who is 20 months still only gets a bath every other day unless she gets dirty.

  • Nighty, but usually only with water and only because she loves it and it seems to relax her.

  • Nightly since about 4 weeks. It's part of the night time routine and helps calm her evening fussiness. We do soap every night except her hair because her scalp was getting dry. She's EBF but a super messy eater and gets stinky really fast. It's really helped with keeping her awake a bit longer before bed so she sleeps a longer stretch too!
