Positive thoughts please

DH and his entire fire department are battling an out of control fire at a cardboard factory right now. It has been completely engulfed for hours. Fire engines are being surrounded by fire. I am a nervous wreck and trying to hide it from the boys. 2 firefighters have already been hurt. They have called in all the surrounding volunteer departments, neighboring cities, and the air base. The only time I get nervous is the plant fires.....they are just so big and have so much scary stuff in them. This plant is filled with cardboard, paper, etc.

FX for your husband! Paper factories are the worst. All that rolled paper just slowly burning and the sprinklers don't help.

Thank you everyone, so much. The wind was a huge factor earlier @cmeon_the_water‌, but it has finally does down a bit.

He just checked in and said they are all safe. Granted, he would never tell me otherwise, but I know that if he is able to text he is at least ok

Update: fire is still burning strong. I haven't heard from him yet this morning, but I have heard that everyone is ok, so he is probably just busy. This is normally when he would come home until he goes back at 5:00 tonight, I have no idea if/how he will get a break. Everyone is working, it's not like there are guys at home to provide relief. Thank you again everyone for thinking of us

He got home about 9:45 this morning, goes back in at 4:30 this afternoon. It's noon here and he is still up, hopefully he will go straight to bed when he gets out of the shower!

It's been over 28 hours and this shit is still burning strong. Still flames, new flare ups, calling in new companies. DH got about 3 1/2 hours of sleep and he has been back at it since 4:30.

They are finally calling the fire under control now! Still a lot of work for these men and women to do, but feeling relieved that the worst seems to be over. Thank you so much everybody!
