  • I've also heard really mixed reviews about Gone Girl.  It's been keeping me from picking it up.

  • 1.  Your current read?  Inkheart  by Cornelia Funke

    2.  Favorite recently read book?  No favorites recently although nothing that I've disliked

    3.  GTKY:  Do you dog ear or is that a sin in your bookish heart?  No dog-earring pages here!  And like @kfitzguerra creasing a spine is definitely a sin

Hated it. Worst book I have ever read cover to cover (usually I put It down way before that).

  • 1.  Your current read?  Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

    2.  Favorite recently read book?  Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass #3) by Sarah J Maas

    3.  GTKY:  Do you dog ear or is that a sin in your bookish heart?  I will very, very rarely dog ear.  Usually I will use almost anything laying nearby as a bookmark instead though.  I read a lot on my kindle these days too.  I don't like paperback creased spines either.

  • @MrsSarahRenee  I need to read the Absolutely True Story of a Part Time Indian.  My book club read it awhile back but I couldn't go so I didn't bother.  I've heard so many good things about it.

  • 1. Your current read?
Right now I am reading Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. I like it, but it is a military history book.

    2. Favorite recently read book?
I haven't had a lot of good reads lately, I am in a rut of selecting crappy books.

    3. GTKY: Do you dog ear or is that a sin in your bookish heart?
I never, ever dog ear a book. I use a bookmark. I don't like the binding to have creases in it. I also never read on a electronic device. Something about the smell and turning the pages that I love.

  • I love a physical copy of a book and the smell but there is something so awesome about carrying around an entire library of books on a small device that I just can't pass up.  I love that if I finish something I always have more choices waiting for me immediately or I can just hop online and get my next read without having to even leave my house.

  • 1. Nothing this weekend. Once the school year is in session all I read are student assignments

    2. I just read the latest Outlander book by Diana Gabaldon. It is a great series although I do like the first 2 the best (historical fiction). They recently started a tv series in Starz.

    3. I have no problem dog earring. Not really sure what the issue is with that.

  • 1. Just read Gone Girl (honestly, I don't get the hype) and The Husbands Secret (decent) for book club.

    2. The Night Circus and Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons

    3. No, I'm ridiculous with my books. I also can't get rid of them. So I have bookshelves everywhere.

  • 1. Your current read? The Attachment Parenting Book by Dr. Sears (but I usually stick to fantasy or non-fiction English history)

    2. Favorite recently read book? I don't really have a recent favorite. But I read a book called Dangerous Girls back in May that I loved.

    3. GTKY: Do you dog ear or is that a sin in your bookish heart? I dog ear because meh but I do most of my reading on my Kindle these days.

  • 1. Your current read? Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Recommended to me by my MIL. It's taking me a bit to get into the story... kind of slow-moving.

    2. Favorite recently read book? Gone Girl! I'm one of the people who really enjoyed it. It's messed up, definitely, but I couldn't put it down.

    3. GTKY: Do you dog ear or is that a sin in your bookish heart? Never!! I always use a bookmark. DH dog ears when he reads; drives me nuts!
  • 1. Currently re-reading Outlander book 1. I have read the whole series continuously since last summer and am rereading book 1 while DH & I watch the series on Starz. @deezidee04‌ hang in there with the slow start. I loved it!!

    2. Aside from the Outlander series and novellas, I recently read the Divergent series. I wasn't a huge fan, but finished it.

    3. I never dogear! But I haven't read a real book lately. I love my kindle and pretty much read it exclusively. Best parts are the quick book delivery and being able to read in the dark in bed when DH is sleeping.

  • Currently reading Lolita......ewwww it's SO dirty!!
Next up --Gone girl. Or maybe another by Wodehouse if I need something light.
    I totally dog ear.
  • 1. Just read Gone Girl (honestly, I don't get the hype) and The Husbands Secret (decent) for book club.

Omg I recently read The Night Circus and it was amazing. I loved it! I also hoard books.
  • 1. Currently reading a book called "Bringing up Bebe" about an American woman raising her child in France. It's very interesting, talks all about the difference in behavior between French children and american children, and the parenting that makes these French babies sleep through the night sooner, eat what's put in front of them, respect adults, etc. Very good read!

    2. The last books I read were the Divergent trilogy. I was wanting to get them in actual print, but finally gave up and ordered the whole series on my kindle, read through all 3 in less than a week. Good books tho!

    3. I try really hard to not dog ear my pages. I have a million bookmarks because everyone gives them to me, but I always end up using a receipt or piece of scrap paper, or today- a sticker that came in my box of Botan rice candy. :)
  • I'm currently reading Dr. Montessori's Own Handbook. My most recent favorite was The Yoga Birth Method. I haven't read any fiction in a while!

I don't dogear pages ever. I might end up using multiple bookmarks in one book, though.

    Dark Tower! Good Taste!

Currently reading birthing without fear and happiest baby on the block.

Somewhat recently read non baby books I enjoyed (its been baby on the brain for awhile): Madaddam by Margaret Attwood, part of her Oryx and Crake series and Mass Incarceration by Michelle Alexander.

Lifetime reccomendation- this is more in the existential realm- j. Krishnamurti's On God. Just.....beautiful.

To dog ear is to enjoy
