Re: ~***Friday Ticker Change***~
How are you feeling? I am good, I am sleeping longer recently.
Appointments/Updates? I have one on the last week of september, just a normal check-up..nothing to exciting.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? YES! had a lil rendezvous with some ladies in NOVA from the bump and then went shopping...bought my first clothing (whoop Whoop @lanatir ) I also went shopping again for clothes after I realized I bought no newborn clothing cause I was scared they were to small. Then was like wait what if she is that small...back to the store.
Rants/Raves: Nothing really other than...ahem she who shall not be named's bump is the same size I was at 7 weeks and she is freaking on her second child. Its @lanatir....by the way...redic :P
QOTW: FTM As we get closer to our magical day, do you have any fears that are coming about? STM Since this is your second time...are you definetly in the mode of get here already, I am over the wait! - Oh buddy is my fears coming through I am excited for her to be in my arms terrified about labor and well after I leave the hospital and she is all my responsibility.
How are you feeling? Nervous and excited for our ultrasound 1 week from today
Appointments/Updates? Next Friday we have an ultrasound and meet with the MFM. I am high risk due to having severe HELLP Syndrome last pregnancy. Praying everything is ok with our baby and I hope we find out if it's a boy or girl.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? No. I don't want to jinx us. We lost our son at 21 weeks pregnant last pregnancy. I just can't bring myself to buy anything yet for this baby. I think we will start to buy things after our next ultrasound if all goes well.
Rants/Raves: I have absolutely nothing to rant about. Life can not get any better then this. We are so blessed.
We shall find out next Friday if it will be Lauren Skye or Landen Mitchell. Can't wait!!!
How are you feeling? OK. I'm having a rough time concentrating on work and now there is a big push to get some stuff done. I think the anxiety about this is making me sleep worse and also I'm more likely to skip exercise because of it. I finally went to the gym this morning (first time this week) so hopefully I can keep it up.
Appointments/Updates? Not really. I'm feeling LO move more often but it is still not all the time. By next appointment isn't till the last of Sept and it's just a routine visit.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? We did our registry last weekend and I bought one teething ring because it was so cute and in the shape of a turtle. We haven't picked out a name yet, plus I'm superstitious about calling LO by a name before birth, so we are calling him turtle right now so I couldn't resist.
Rants/Raves: Not really. Things going pretty well but nothing in particular happening.
QOTW: FTM As we get closer to our magical day, do you have any fears that are coming about? STM Since this is your second time...are you definetly in the mode of get here already, I am over the wait! - FTM and I think I'm still a little in denial. I've thought a lot about labor and delivery and don't have really any fears yet about that. I'm mostly battling the fear something happening to LO before he can come safely. I don't have a reason for the fear since I have no real risk factors besides being 36. When I do start to think about when baby is really here I get a little panicky. Our lives will change a lot and I'm not sure if I'm more afraid of being really, really upset to have to go back to work at 6 weeks or fearing that I'll be really, really relieved to go back to work at 6 weeks.
How are you feeling? Pregnancy related? Ok. Life in general is sucky. Got the call yesterday that the oncologist expects 6-18m for my mom and that hospice is coming in to help my dad....
Appointments/Updates? Next appt is Monday.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? I bought V's coming home outfit on Saturday after the VA mom get together.
Rants/Raves: Of course DD is sickly. No fevers, but keeps having this weird dry cough that's keeping her up all night. So even if I convince my brain to stop thinking about stuff with my mom, and finally fall asleep, DD's coughing wakes me up through the monitor... Or she decides she can't sleep and comes into the master bedroom and bugs me and DH.
QOTW: FTM As we get closer to our magical day, do you have any fears that are coming about? STM Since this is your second time...are you definetly in the mode of get here already, I am over the wait! Idk. I don't already feel like this pregnancy is taking FOREVER. Flame-worthy, possibly, but once I hit 40 weeks, since my mom isn't expected to live much longer, I am inclined to start bugging the OB to induce me... And once I hit about 37-38 weeks, I will definitely be downing cervix ripeners (red raspberry leaf tea, chamomile tea, MAYBE even pineapple-- even though right now the thought of eating that makes me want to puke as even not pregnant I think pineapple is disgusting).
How are you feeling? Right side has been hurting, taking Tylenol to relieve it. Charlie horses in my legs at night, afraid to move my feet/toes in bed. GASSY. To the max. But I can feel LO several times a day kicking me or just thumping and moving around. Sometimes her kicks are so hard they startle me!
Appointments/Updates? Went in on Wednesday for my side pain since it started when I went to the restroom. Still waiting on the UA culture results, got home too late to call them. But I did get to see our sweet little girl and everything looks wonderful! She's getting so big and crammed in there.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? My MIL's friend gave me a used swing (which I already have from a cousin so I now I have two of the exact same swings), a high chair from like 25 years ago showed up in my house (I'm assuming from DH's grandpa's house... It will be passed along to some one else), and I bought a cute onesie with elephants on it and pink ruffle bottom pants when I couldn't find a maternity bra at Kohl's.
Rants/Raves: I am so gassy my husband won't be intimate with me!!! There's nothing like letting one rip as we're trying to get "in the mood" ........ So I am feeling super unattractive (even though my bump is super cute and I just got a really cute hair cut and feel AMAZING about myself) and he keeps asking for an effing HJ. I could just throttle him. Oh and he wants to call me fat. And not be otherwise intimate with me. I MISS HIM SO MUCH
QOTW: FTM As we get closer to our magical day, do you have any fears that are coming about? STM Since this is your second time...are you definetly in the mode of get here already, I am over the wait! Fearing just that something will go wrong... either she will be born prematurely or still born... (my MIL had 3 before my husband was born)... But I really am not letting that get to me and am just super excited!!!!!!
Feeling stressed. Between work and home life (sister in law staying with us while she is working through some "issues") I can't seem to have any down time lately.
Next appointment is Oct 15.
Recently received a bunch of clothes for our 'sweets'. Also got our crib!!
Rant: I FREAKIN HATE MY JOB!!
QOTW: I am nervous about being a mom in general. Such a life change, in a good way, but just wanting to be the best mom (I have lots of good role models). Starting out parenting late in life (I'm 35) and am realizing that I might be the "old mom" at functions... haha. That sounds soo petty after I typed it.
