Thinking about trying an applecheeks cover, and I know some of you really like them. Just wondering if they tend to be better in the size 1 stage or the size 2 stage, or are they good throughout? I know some brands are better with newborn covers but not larger sizes (or vice versa).
Also - do they tend to fit the slim/tall or the chubby babies better? Thanks!
Re: Applecheeks covers
The size 2s I have a love hate relationship with. They fit weird the first couple months. Then they fit well as he started thinning out from learning to crawl and later walk. Now at almost two and 27 pounds they fit weird again. No leaks or anything, just a weird fit in the legs.
That being said, I always have and probably always will love the 2 ply bamboo inserts. Crazy trim. Well made. Super absorbent. Pretty easy to wash.
Also unlike PP, I never had leak issues with the size ones. In fact they were probalbly my most reliable pockets that whole first six months of CD'ing. I had one cover delaminate on me, but my local CD shop replaced it under warranty. I've owned 7 size one covers and four size 2s. My size ones were used for 6-7 months in heavy rotation. And still look VGUC. The size two's have been used in light rotation with a very large stash for 15 months and still look almost new.
