10DPO and just trying to stay relaxed. Really enjoying this gorgeous, cool (cold) fall weather in a surprise new pair of boots from DH!

QOTW: My secret talent is sight-reading music. Unfortunately, that fed into my aversion to actually practicing clarinet. Because of my secret sight-reading, the teacher always thought I had practiced. Was 1st chair in the select ensemble, too, so looking back I wonder why I didn't just practice and really do something with that talent!! The clarinet's been under the bed for years now, of course.

QOTW: Do you have any unique/odd/hidden talents? 5 years of flute lessons means that I can make awesome sounds out of pretty much any size of bottle. My parents are so proud that their money went to good use. Not a great talent, but it's pretty much all I've got.

If you would like to be added please answer the following: 

1. Where are you at in the IUI process? (2WW, meds, break, etc.) One more week-ish to wait until the start of my next cycle and first round of medicated IUI.

2. Which IUI are you on? About to start #1!

3. Test/Beta day? Third week of October?

I'm STILL on meds for IUI #2. I have an u/s scheduled for my birthday which is bumming me out, I was really REALLY hoping to be in the 2WW by then so that we could take a mini vacay. Plus the nurse gave me so much more Gonal-F at my last appt. that I'm super paranoid about overstimming this cycle and having to cancel (because, obviously I know more than my nurse...). So basically just trying to stay calm and trust in my doctors and wait for the next u/s.

ETA: QOTW: hidden talents... I'm ridiculously good at trivia. Pretty much any kind of trivia... except sports

and I play the flute and ukulele, that occasionally surprises people

I'm 8dpiui and really not obsessing much this time. I think watching football 4 or 5 nights a week is keeping me occupied! I did test yesterday just to make sure my trigger was gone...I was actually glad to see a BFN for once!

QOTW: My friends call me the "lyrical miracle" because I have a ridiculous ability to remember song lyrics. If I hear a song more than once, the words are filed away in my brain FOREVER. On roadtrips, DH thinks it's funny to just hit scan on the radio and see if I can sing whatever song comes on....I pretty much kick ass at that game.

I'm 4dpiui (#5), and focused more on putting new flooring in our kitchen than stressing over the TWW. If IUI's haven't worked by now, I don't see why it would suddenly result in a BFP. Looking more towards taking a few months off and then moving on to IVF.

Looks like next week's check-in will probably be my last for the IUI thread

Oh well... moving on!

QOTW: I have lots of hobbies and interests... but I'm not super talented at anything in particular. I think I do have a really good eye when it comes to DIY projects and crafts. I've always been into creating art, so that would probably be my 'talent' if I had to choose one

4dpiui today. Testing out trigger it's almost gone. Tested this am and there was a faint faint positive about 30 min after I tested. And I feel a uti coming on so I'll call the dr tomorrow. Just hanging tight and enjoying football season and trying new recipes from Pinterest. QOTW-No hidden talents or freak show acts but I'm really good at rapping. For a white girl. Lmao.

I finished up my first round of Femara. I am lucky because i did not notice too many side effects. I was a little emotional, but that's about it. Patiently waiting for my monitoring appt on Thursday.

I'm currently in the dreading 2ww after IUI #3. Not very hopeful because of DH's post wash count...but her I am.

Hidden talents...hhhmmmm. I can roll my tongue and wiggly my ears it looks really weird. But that's about it of course nothing I could perform in a talent show but it has always seemed to amuse DH.

I go into today for u/s to start up the IUI process again. Procedure should take place 9/26. First IUI resulted in BFN. I remain optimistic but it's hard and I'm not looking forward to all my crazy hormones resurfacing. So emotional.

Last IUI they had me on clomid 50mg and I had an HCG trigger shot and the progesterone gel.

QOTW: I guess my "talent" would be that I can say the alphabet backwards in like 3seconds.

Now that I am officially in the IUI process, I thought I would join the fun!

1. Where are you at in the IUI process? 2WW. I had the IUI on 9/7 but I am not hopeful at all as my DH post wash count was 2.2 mil- it is getting worse but I keep telling myself that it only takes once.
2. Which IUI are you on? #1
3. Test/Beta day? Not sure yet but i am assuming next Monday? I am debating whether I want to pee on a stick before only because I am so sick of seeing BFN but DH wants me to test this weekend. I am thinking I may do it but make him look at the test just so I don't have to see it.

QOTD: I don't have many hidden talents but I can pop my hips and shoulders out of joint. Not sure if that is considered a talent but it is fun to freak people out when I do it!

I'm 7DPIUI today...and I always feel like this second week of the 2WW is the hardest for me. I start to get more and more negative. I'm on progesterone this time so any symptoms I used to obsess over I'm just ignoring and saying it's because of that. If this one doesn't work, we are going to try one more and then have another consult with the doctor and take the rest of the year off.

QOTD: I don't think I have any hidden talents...I played basketball my whole life so I guess I'm pretty good at that. And I'm super into sports...specifically detroit sports teams so that sometimes impresses people.

1. Where are you at in the IUI process?
I had my first IUI this morning; which the doctor was very positive about. DH count was very good and my response of 100mg clomid was good. I had 3 nice follicles on the left which is the side that I need. One was 20mm and the other two was 19mm. The only thing is that they triggered me yesterday morning and had me come this morning I thought it should be 36 hrs later? We will follow up tonight and tomorrow as per the nurse but the doctor said we didn't have to since he was happy with the numbers. We shall see I really pray this works out. We should be testing 9/30/14, hopefully I can hold out that long.

I really don't have any hidden talent.

Good morning! IUI #3 was a bust - I'm on CD2 of IUI #4. We don't have coverage for IVF so I am doing injections this cycle (Follitism and Ganiralex) with monitoring and IUI, followed by progesterone. Something has to give here pretty soon! I go in tomorrow for CD3 bloodwork and then become a regular at the doctor's office. Woohoo.

QOTW - I can wiggle my ears and arch my eyebrow but that's about as far as my hidden talents go. I can also swim really well.. thats from 12 years of competitive swimming.

@guerdinera‌ all your stats sound good to me! My RE likes to do IUIs 24hrs after trigger. He says it's better to have the sperm there waiting. I didn't feel 100% comfortable with that after IUI #1 for a few reasons so he agreed to move it to 36hrs.

Hi Ladies, I'm on CD 27 of a break from RE after IUI#4 failed. I have no idea if I ovulated this month. We only DTD once during my estimated fertile time so I am just waiting for AF, taking supplements and gearing up for IVF which we'll do after Christmas. It's nice to be on a break from the RE although I miss all the numbers obsessing!

QOTW: I can recite all the presidents names in order thanks to a little ditty I learned in 6th grade chorus.

2WW over here, currently at 8DPO. I plan on testing on Sunday morning! I'm feeling really hopeful, and more at ease than normal. I hope it bodes well for us this month!

TMI: Right now I'm enjoying the lovely progesterone suppository side effect I like to refer to as "swamp crotch". I should buy stock in panty liners.

I'm back!!

I thought that IUIs were over for me, but it turns out that my insurance won't cover IVF until I have had 6 IUIs, and technically I had 5 IUIs and one medicated TI cycle (IUI needed to be cancelled that cycle, due to travel). I'm trying to see this as a good thing, since I was freaking out a bit about moving to IVF anyway.

So, after waiting for insurance to approve the IUI (even though they were the ones insisting on it) and stopping BCPs (yeah, my RE already had me on those to prep for IVF, as she thought insurance would cover it):

1. I am on CDay2, with my baseline u/sand b/w tomorrow.
2. IUI #6 - I think that this is another Letrozole/Ovidrel cycle.
3. Not sure yet.

2WW here, 10 DP IUI #1. Progesterone blood draw yesterday and if AF doesnt show up before Saturday, that's when we can take a pg test.

QOTW: I was on a dance team for about 6 years while I was in school so I can bust a move with the best of them, and I can typically pick up on any zumba routine pretty quickly

@angelina2404 my dr never schedules a beta test. I just call when AF shows or if no + HPT or AF by CD35. I've never made it to CD35 to know if he requires a beta before prescribing provera but I would assume so.

my RE does not require a beta. I just call when AF shows up. This time, since I'm on cronine, I can take two home pregnancy tests day 13-14 days after the IUI or come in for a blood test. My fear of needles keeps me on the HPT team!

My hidden talent? I can fly! Just kidding...I guess my talent would be that I can smell things from a mile away. Not sure if this is a talent or a curse haha. I am in my 2 ww for IUI #2 (5daypoiui). My RE doesnt do beta/ test day but rather to call if my AF shows....so i should know by sept 25.

BFN on IUI # 3. We made a consult with the RE set for Halloween. Since I still have one full cycle between now and then we decided we'll do one more IUI. I'd rather be cycling then on another break!! I'm SICK of breaks! Even if it means we're doing nothing more then flushing a grand down the toilet.

Hello ladies! I was all set to start injectables until my RE office stupid woman who answered the phone told me that the RE wouldn't order them until my CD3 visit (they have to be ordered through the mail in order for me insurance to cover it) SOOOO I am benched for this cycle since I called for my CD3 appt and the nurse asked me if I had my meds! NO I don't!! Stupid woman who answered the phone!

My hidden talent is something I can't discuss on this board...LOL

This might not be the right board to ask this question, but I had my first IUI, but I O'd on my own so I didn't use the trigger. Is that good or bad? Anyone know experiences with a bfp and no trigger? This 2ww sucks.

@angelina2404 @rainbowbridge14 I think the difference is the meds - my RE said the beta is necessary before starting ovarian stimulation drugs because they are category x. Plus there can be a period and still have an ectopic or other non-viable pregnancy.

*****BFP Warning******

Ladies! I broke down early due to a bunch of symptoms (dizziness, metallic taste in mouth, fatigue), and took a dollar store test last night. There was a line! I've never had a positive test before, not even an evap (yes, I was the girl who would dig em out of the trash to check! lol). This line was faint, but it was definitely there. Just retested with FMU on a FRER, and again a faint second line. I'm 13/12dpiui (had B2Bs), and 13DPO according to temps. It still doesn't feel real, but I am over-the-moon excited and so is DH, and I feel good enough to call it.

Thank you ladies so much for the emotional support. I was so lost a few months ago when I found myself here, and this was the only place where i felt like anyone understood what I was feeling. As shitty as it is that we all have to be here, it really is a great place full of wonderful women. I will keep lurking, and rooting for you all!

If it's okay with everyone, I'd like to still participate in the sock exchange since we've already drawn names and I have to see my RE through my first trimester. But you won't hurt my feelings if you think it's inappropriate.
