I prefer Michaela over Micaela but I don't hate Micaela. I do however hate every other spelling of the name. I actually really love the name Michaela but it is so commonly creatively spelled that I feel nobody would ever know how to spell it. Case in point, the spellings used in 2012, the number beside the name is the number of babies that were given the name in the year of 2012. (Michaela is the only one without a squiggly red 'wrong' line under it)

I would not pronounce half of the ones on @daystardreams' list like michaela.
Didn't read any of this did you? I am NOT trying to invent a name, or be trendy or youneek, I knew the name I liked and didn't know how to spell it and didn't like the spelling of the name I saw in a baby book.
