How many feedings per day?

Regardless of whether you're BFing or FFing, I'm curious: how many times a day does LO eat? I EBF and he'd been averaging around 9 to 10 nursing sessions, but just recently he's dropped to 7 or 8, which feels like such a relief! We even had one day where he only wanted to nurse 6 times, but I think that was an outlier. So...

Due to low supply we are nursing every few hrs as well as supplementing 4-6 times a day. Pretty much all i get done all day!

We are 7-8.

I'm curious...along with how many feedings, how long are your feedings taking?

DD usually takes 30-45 minutes plus I hold her upright for at least 15 min after.

About 8 however in the afternoon they last forever (hour to hour and a half) so it feels like more

I'd say we average 20 mins.

EBF with probably 9-10 feedings. I have stopped counting anything; just try to remember when he last ate. Sometimes he clusters in the evening and it is hard to say where one feeding ends and another begins. Length of time varies widely from 10-45 min but typically about 30 min. I hold him upright for at least 10 min after.

EBF and we average 8 feedings on demand. Some are shorter, some are longer. Sometimes he feeds in 10 minutes if he's feeling spiffy or for nearly an hour, especially if it has ben 4 hours since his last feeding. We do not wake him to eat as he's not having trouble gaining.

We keep him upright for 20 mins afterward, not for any particular reason other than it seems to help his gas and then he's fully asleep when we put him back down.

8 weeks - 6 or so. In the morning and evenings she tends to eat for longer periods of time. She's filling up!

This. I have no idea and it's much less stressful that way. In fact it's kind of nice that most of the time shoving a boob in his face solves all his problems.

Yeah. I have no idea. I just make sure she soaks her diapers, gains well, and has a nice poop at least once every couple days.

EFF as of now and its reduced to 6-8 times a day.
When I was bf and pumping it was 9-10 times.

9-10, EBF. She eats every two hours during the day and once or twice at night. Each session is between 5-15 minutes, usually around 7 minutes though and any longer is for comfort!
