Dr. Brown's bottles leaking

We've been using Dr. Brown's bottles with breast milk for about a month now. Each bottle has been used 8-12 times (5 days/week, 4 bottles/day, 8 bottles total that get rotated). Today DH said he lost the equivalent of 2 bottles due to leakage. Anyone else having this issue? Have you switched to different bottles?

    The only time I had this issue is when I forgot to put the center pieces in.. silly me.

    I make the bottles every night and always double check every piece is nice and tight. I just asked my mom if she noticed the same thing with her set of bottles and she also agreed they were leaky.

    Maybe my mom and I are having issues! lol

    We use ours all the time and have never had any leakage issues. The only "leaks" have been when the bottle has been tipped over on its side, leaking out the nipple hole. I would consider this user error, rather than leakage.

    And I would likely have a meltdown if I lost 2 bottles of breastmilk!

    Ours do leak around the collars. I have the same problem.

    Thank goodness I'm not the only one wondering why me, the couch and my child are all wet. Took me awhile to realize half asleep.

    @Pup4gdb‌ I don't know how I didn't have a melt down. I'm EBF and have been having to pump during the MOTN feeding, while I get ready for work, and twice at work if I'm lucky!

    @Hilee18. I had the pleasure of washing couch covers and pillows when I got home from work today!

    @ZeroZeroOne‌ we use the plastic bottles. I'm too clumsy for glass, though I bet they wash up a lot nicer!

    Yes, sometimes my older ones leak around the collar. Dunno why. Doesn't always happen either.

    Do you hand wash or use the dishwasher? I have the same problem with the older ones, I swear the dishwasher warped them.

    I'm reusing ours for DS#2 and haven't had a problem other than leaking out of the nipple when it tips over.

    What size bottles are you using & how much milk is in them? When we tried putting 4oz in the 4oz bottles we did have leaking. We had to go up to the 8oz bottles at that point.

    I hand wash, they haven't been in the dishwasher. We use the plastic ones and fill them up to three and half ounces.

    Ive been using 4 oz bottles and filling them 4 oz. Also I hand wash every night and throw them in the dishwasher once or twice a week. Maybe the dishwasher killed them!

    Mine only leak when I forget to put the blue thing &/or the tan colored thing in. Are you snapping the blue part into the tan part? Im sorry you have to deal with this! :(

    I dosh wash mine and they don't smell. I hand wash and sterilize once a week. the 8 ounce plastic bottles don't usually wash well so I hand wash those. they get residue on the bottom. my favorite are the glass bottle they wash really well in the dishwasher.

    Yeah I'm putting them together right. They have worked fine for a month, no issues then bamb they all start leaking. I've already invested in new bottles since DH refuses to even go near the Dr.Browns.
