Lurker No More...

Hey Parenting!

I'm a creepy lurker, but (contrary to what my profile says) I have not been lurking since 2008.  Apparently I joined The Nest before my husband and I got married.  Anyway, back in February, I discovered TB.  My baby boy was due in April, and I felt foolish going to my BMB and saying, "Hey!  I know you've all gotten to know each other for the last 7 months... but here I am!" so I just lurked.  Since having my son, I'm now a SAHM (former elementary school teacher) and have enjoyed lurking different boards during my days at home.  I finally decided it's creepy, and I should start participating.

So this is getting long, but I remember you all asking about soft pants and returning shopping carts.  Recently I was in Kohl's, and I found some really comfy looking pants.  The name of them on the price display was actually "Soft Pants"!  I always thought it was just a description and was surprised this was what they were officially called.  I bought a pair, but it's been over 100 degrees here forever so I haven't had much opportunity to wear them.  As far as shopping carts, yesterday I went to WalMart and the stupid returning thing was in an impossible-to-get-to place without going all the way around the whole lane of cars.  Alas, I thought of how important it is to return it, and walked all the way back to the store to do so.

Anyhow, I'm hoping to start participating a little and getting to know you all!  I created an avatar and tried to put in a ticker... hope they work!

TL;DR- Hi!  I've been a lurker who wants to hang out here!  Soft pants: Yes, Returning shopping carts: Yes!

    I had a screen name before that was my screen name for everything, and learned that that's probably not the best idea, so I changed it. I mostly made it because I like the color pink, and I like trying to optimistic. And because I suck at being creative with screen names. Out of your choices, let's go with number 1!

    I don't really understand the first question... I do return shopping carts. What annoys me most is when people bring their shopping cart *close* to the retun thing or just place he front wheels inside. Like, seriously, you made it that's far- how hard is it?! I don't like 1D. Well, I don't hate them. That "You don't know you're beautiful" song is pretty catchy.

    Haha, I'm glad I wasn't just out-of-the-loop on something! I actually don't know how I feel about them! DS is only 5 months, so he doesn't even sit in a regular cart yet. I think they might be fun to use every once in a while, but not every time. Just to shake things up for a bored kid grocery shopping. Otherwise I think they're a little much for every time.
