Got cleared at 6 weeks pp after c section we did it that same day. Mainly because of DH. I'm BFing so we have to use lube cause I'm kind of dry. We do it 2-3 times a week.

I'm 9 weeks pp and we've done it twice. For some reason it hurt like none other even though I had a c section. No idea why, but Dr. Google tells me it's normal. It seriously felt tighter than losing my virginity. Second time was a little better but still hurt. I'm sure each time it will keep getting better, but I'm waiting until DH tries for #3 and definitely not doing any initiating. (he's actually been sweet and trying to hold off because he knows it's not that fun for me right now.)

Was just cleared today at 5 weeks pp. She said I still have two small sutures but it would be fine. Uhm no. I told DH it was a no go until they are completely healed.

I kept having bleeding issues throughout pregnancy and was on pelvic rest for mist of it. I'm scared.

No action here. I'll be 6 weeks PP tomorrow and expect to get a full release at my appt. I'm not really looking forward to the deed, but I do miss the intimacy with DH. I thought it was a huge accomplishment to wear my regular thong underwear today. Baby steps, right?!?

6w PP. We tried last night for the first time after getting cleared a couple days ago. It hurt. I had a second degree tear and was told everything was healed but yikes. No fun for sure. In good news, my boobs, surprisingly didn't leak, so I guess that's good.

I'm 8 weeks PP today. (C-section) and DH and I DTD at about 4 weeks :S

My OB yelled at me at my 6 week PP check-up, but I was fine.
We've been getting it on a few times a week since.

To tell you how uninterested I am in sex at the moment:

1. I had my 6 week pp appointment on Monday. I didn't even ask about whether I could have sex.

2. I can't even find the desire to take care of business myself. Once that comes back I might invite DH to play.

3. I haven't slept more than 3 hours in a row in weeks. Talk to me after I've had a solid 4 in a row.

Finally got to dtd and I was terrified to try, but it was amazing. Now the sun is shining the birds are chirping and everyone is much happier. 7 weeks is just too long but happy wedding anniversary to me. (4 years already)

Nope. Got cleared finally the week of my gallbladder surgery. My body needs a break from everything. Even after I'm feeling better, I've got the baby flab + stretch marks + 4 new incisions from surgery. I need time to accept those things before sexy time can happen.

Finally got cleared for sex yesterday and am dying to try it but DD won't let us! She is having a growth spurt so she's eating nonstop and cries if you put her down for more than ten minutes.

I got cleared at my 6 week for exercise and sex. Started doing power walks most days a week and immediately started bleeding again. Baby is now 10 weeks old... and Im still bleeding. DH is completely miserable. I dont really mind.

Been cleared for 4 weeks and still havent done it. DH is being very patient but I know that won't last lol. I hate my body, my boobs hurt all the time and I'm just not into it.

Ugh. Reviving this thread. 8 weeks pp. DH and I have tried twice. We've gotten the tip in and I start crying from the pain so we stop. I feel awful. One of the spots where I tore on the side just hurts soo bad. Like worse than the first time and then I feel bad he's been waiting so long. I think I may have to just take some tylenol and drink some wine to actually get things going.

Ouch! So sorry! Did you try lots of lube? Alcohol does help too. Ha!
Once that damn tip goes in ( which is the most scary) it does feel much better. Man, I hope it gets better for you soon.

@jcartz‌ the boob pain really kills the mood for me too. so awkward now. hopefully they become more comfortable soon. I miss the intimacy.

I had a c section too, and when we tried to DTD it just hurt too much. We used lots of lube, but it was a no go. Then DS started to cry from hunger. Ugh. Maybe we'll try again this weekend even though I'm not that interested in it...I just feel sorry for my sweet DH.

We've done it twice. The first time hurt byt was ok. The second time was after I got my iud. It still hurt and dh said he could feel the string and that it hurt. We powdered through but it was just awkward. I'm not into it and only care to do it because I know I should....oh I'm 8 weeks pp

9w pp tomorrow. I keep forgetting to take my mini pill - i fucking hate the pill - it's the reason I've been wearing the nuva ring for over 10 years. I've either taken it at different times, or forgotten all together. Therefore, I have no desire to have sex, because I have no desire to get ktfu. And DH hates wearing condoms...so he's out of luck for now. We also can't handle the logistics with a 5yo that doesn't nap, and a baby with an unpredictable bed time most days... I'm totally ok with it...

Super painful here too at 10 w pp and haven't tried again since. Partly think I had trauma from my catheter since my urethral opening was screaming painful after dtd but also thinking I need better lube.

Anyone have lube suggestions/preferences?

10 weeks pp and RCS and have done it three times and while today it wasn't as bad as the first it still wasn't a walk in the park! Second time DH felt the strings from the iud and I still wasn't able to move past the discomfort. So over all it's improving and thank god for that!!

The spotting happened for me too. I do believe it's normal, since things are getting rubbed again down there and it's been a while. As long as it stops soon after, you should be fine. If it continues, then call your doc. I still havnt had my cycle, but perhaps yours could be related.

I know it's not top priority for many of us now with babies and work and all, but the more you do it I promise it feels normal very soon after.

^ agreed. Even switching up positions after you've been back at it can feel a little sore so just take it easy and I'm sure you'll be alright.

15 weeks pp and I we still haven't had sex.

I had a 4th degree tear and when I went in for my check up she said I was still pretty raw and suggested that I wait a few more weeks.

We tried last week...got the lube but it still hurt and I started to cry...(truth I don't know if I was crying because I was more nervous, frustrated or from the pain). I desperately want to and miss our time together and my husband has been so patient.

Our 7 year anniversary is this week and I'm going to attempt again but this time with wine in my system. Any other suggestions to help. Should I take any pain killers ahead of time?

We had a terrible time at first because I had a horrible tear. Someone suggested astroglide liquid. Seriously get it. It made a big difference.

I'm so sorry that you had that darn 4th degree tear. Wine should totally help. I know it's easier said than done, but seriously try to relax, you guys take your time and really ease into it.

I cried my first time too, my tear was 2nd degree. (Tmi) H is like a freakin 16 year old boy. Needs it alllllll of the time. Uhhhhh!! My point I guess is, it does feel normal again.

Drink the wine, get that lube, relax and you guys try and get some playtime at first. It all helps. I'm not sure about the pills, I never tried it before sex, but hey if you think you may need it, do it. Try maybe half at first? Good luck dear!!!!
