AW: First U/S Update!

So we went to the Dr yesterday for the first visit.
I was so nervous. I couldn't look at the screen until I knew everything was ok. DH had a scary look on his face, so I was starting to freak out a little when the Dr. turned up the volume and I heard a heart beat. "That's your baby's heart beat." I think I had been holding my breath the whole time. I exhaled and lost it. I looked over and saw our perfect little sweet pea.
She said everything looks great, baby measured 6w 4d, which was a day ahead of where he/she should be.
I have to go back for a regular OB visit in 4 weeks and we have the NT Scan the week after that. I was so relieved to learn that they changed the way they do the NT Scan. We used to have to go to a completely separate medical office but now they do them right there in the OB office. I am so happy, I was really dreading having to go back there. She also recommended we go for the Maternit21 testing which we are going to do.
I am feeling a little bit of relief, but still nervous for the 10 week visit.
