  • I made cookies for lunch today at my DH's boss' house and ate two during my 430am feeding and one for breakfast... Not sure they will survive until noon >:)

  • I'm addicted to orbit bubblegum but the store was out so I got the kids orbit bubblegum. The flavor lasts like half the time. It's kind of ruining my day.

  • I'm trying hard to get DS's first word be "boobie." Whenever he's hungry, I go, "Do you want boobie? Can you say boobie? Booooo-beeeee."

I mean, I'd love his first word to be Mama, but boobie would be hilarious.

DS has a soft dinosaur rattle we call Allan. We're trying to get his first word to be Allan

I refer to myself as "Bessie" all the time - as in Bessie the milk cow - so my DH is desperately trying to get LO's first word to be cow.

  • DH has finally gotten his transfer to a regional position (aka he will be home for dinner every night and sleeping in our bed with me) which is awesome! I'm realizing that I was really starting to get in a bad place and resenting anyone who had a "normal" family, as in anyone who got to see their H every night. It was getting bad enough that when a friend complained about being nauseous (she's pregnant) and trying to chase her kid and was mad because her H said he would come home early but didn't get there until 4:30 I really just wanted to say boo hoo get over it. I know that makes me a bad friend but all I could think of was the times I was puking because I dared to take a sip of water with my toddler sitting next to me in the bathroom and knowing I had 5 more days/nights until I got some help again. I'm sure she was having a rough day but I was just having a hard time feeling empathetic.

Congrats to my GP Sister from another mister Bruinsbabe!!

  • Ok I feel like this is a confession because of all the poor mom's on here who don't experience this. My baby sleeps from 930pm till 7am has a bottle goes back down till 8:45/9 then takes two naps a day, one at 10 am and one at 2pm. She rarely doesn't follow this and she has been STTN for over 2 months now
  • @jennyinheaven  I am completely jealous.

My FFFC is that I only watched the first ten seconds of the preview for Annabelle and it scared the crap out of me.  Now every time I wake up I am afraid a creepy doll is going to be there and attack me.
  • I promised my friend I would finish this art project for an upcoming gallery showing but im no where near finished and I probably won't. :-(

I also miss work. It was very rewarding and I had great friends there that I don't see nearly as much now...because it's a lot effort.

  • The hair on my shins grows in all prickly and I have started plucking it. I will feel around for the worst offenders while I'm sitting on the couch and tweeze them when I get a chance. It just feels good.

  • There is a local FB mom swap group I am a part of, with some very clear rules (no selling samples, trade only; no advertising businesses; sell/search for mom and kid stuff only, etc.) I get irrationally upset when people break the rules. Someone posted they were selling their kids girl guide cookies and I was planning to message an admin about it - I'm sure tons of mroms have cookies to sell for their kids, but I don't want to was through 50 posts about cookie sales to find a deal on a used winter coat.

What bugs me more is that people respond/ buy the stuff. Stop encouraging this!! The formula samples are the worst. Someone will actually comment "that's a sample size you can only trade for those" and then the next comemt is "I'll give you $10".

Now people have started posting used furniture for sale. If the deals on kids stuff weren't so great I would leave because it's so spammy now.

Irrational I know, but I am a rule follower.

I can't stand people selling there Medela pumps for $100 that they got free from Medicare. And then they complain when they have their next kid about not getting another pump. Sorry, but you only get one. Guess you shouldn't have sold the first one.

Is this true? I wasn't going to sell mine but throw it out as it is dying a little everyday. Im pretty sure we are one and done, but really one pump no matter what?

This is kind of horrifying to me... it reminds me of the ONE time I got my armpits waxed and then the lady plucked out the few missed hairs. Owww!

  • Sometimes I wish we didn't have our dog. Taking care of baby would be easier.

This I must keep from my husband. He loves her (the dog) too much now.

Getting my pits waxed is one of my favorite things!

But FWIW I'm a weird plucker/picker of things. I had some eyelashes that grew in pointing down and it bugged me so much I plucked those out too. I had to stop because it was creating a cycle of more misdirected lashes. After I let them grow for awhile they curled themselves up

I do this, too. I have tweezers everywhere.

    Eta quote box fail

I keep tweezers in my car and pluck at red lights, I can see more stray hairs in the sunlight.

yvanehtnioj Aaaaaaaaggghhh I do this, too! And my baby has this one inordinately long, wonky lash that bugs the shit out of me every time it catches my eye.

ETA: Wtf. This is <name redacted> and I apparently logged in on the alternate name I made for... purposes. Promise I'm not a complete rando.
