I'm a big swearer, but I never slip if it's in an inappropriate place. J regularly slips.

Also, surprisingly, during labor I didn't swear at all. J tells me I just cried a lot.

Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
    It all revolves around you.
  • I mostly only curse when I'm really worked up about something. DH knows he really in trouble if I start cursing. I do however curse a lot in labor...mostly F bombs.

  • I swear all the time, but quell it significantly around kids, work, in public, etc. I don't know if I swore during labor, but I can't imagine I didn't.

  • I swear in my head a lot, but it only comes out when I'm driving. I still avoid swearing around my parents even though my sister has since high school.

I said never... but I know I have in the past. I try not to tell my students at school not to do something and then go and do it myself. Same with my kid now. It's easier to just never do it than to have to remember to censor.

  • Mostly when I'm driving the car, or stuck in a TSA security line.

Same. And I totes swore. I think it was f shots.
  • I was raised in a family of non- cursers. My grandfather came close to cutting off a finger while using a saw and the worst he said was "Damn that hurts." When I was in college, "F an A" was a popular saying.....but I understood the phrase as F an egg.......so I started saying "Egg it." Instead of "F it." My friends laughed cause they knew I didn't curse.

  • I chose all the time, but LO is still so young I haven't had to really quell it yet. I'm seriously worse than Debra Morgan (For those Dexter fans). But I think in he next month or so I'll have to contain myself better, for baby's sake.

  • I also apparently got really polite when I was in labor and asked the nurse to please not put in the IV yet because I don't think I can hold still for you. My mom said (DH didn't get to the hospital fast enough) the worst I said was "this really is starting to hurt now" and "how far away do you think DH is, I don't want him to miss it." While my mom just kept saying "shit, I'm not supposed to be here."
