very sore, painful nipples at 20 weeks!

Ok , I am 20 weeks preggo and I stopped breastfeeding my 22 month old over a month ago now, bc it just hurt! and Im ok with that, it was time, we were both ready.... but i still have VERY sore, painful nipples! no scabbing, thank goodness. But does anyone know any good ideas on how to soothe and end this pain before DD gets here in late Jan.?? i really want to be able to breastfeed her, but i dont know if i will be able to if they are still this painful :(

    It's a common pregnancy symptom so it may not go away for a bit. I'm trying to wean my 2 year old because yes, it hurts like hell, and I am scabbing. The pain will subside. Try coconut oil or nipple butter (I think it's earth angel or earth mama brand?)
