Potty Training - Recommended Reading?

I know it's WAY too early for this (right?), but I like to be (over)prepared. A big, big part of me is not at all ready or interested in the prospect of potty training. That would mean that my baby is certainly not a baby. Benjamin seems to have other ideas about the matter (for those of you not up on the Spam, he pooped in the bathtub and then pointed at the potty and said "potty!").

So. What should I be reading? I could Google, but I'd like to hear some anecdotes before I go wading in too deep. I imagine there are about as many potty training guides as there are sleep training guides, all of them equally contradictory.

    Daycare started the potty training train at 2 and at home we just casually introduced the idea of potty with DS1. We had a kid potty that was always around, he could sit on it and watch TV if he wanted. Eventually peer pressure made him want to go. I tried to do the 3 day thing but he would just go on the floor and cleaning up the mess was not worth it to me.

    If your LO is interested that's great, but I would delay as long as possible. It's a sonofabitch to have to always know where the nearest potty is and go to every gross public toilet. Diapers are the best if you want to be flexible with your schedule or want to travel anywhere

    Lily has been showing interest.  I haven't been reading anything, but looking to my mom for advice as she knows what to do with an early potty trainer (I was in underwear by 18 months.  My choice.).  So, she said just get some potty pants and let her have those sometimes and let her sit on the potty when she wants.  Mom also said to let Lily take the lead.  I'm not pushing anything and will let her go at her own pace, but I did buy potty pants just to be prepared.
