Just in general. I know it's hard to put specifics and sometimes it is a case by case basis.

  • Ugh, this is so tough for me. I'm a registered Dem but I consider myself moderate.  However I find myself moving further and further left, as the right gets more conservative. I mean, consider how incredibly liberal a Republican like Eisenhower would be considered today! He would never be elected in this political climate.  I also happen to work for a Republican political agency. I'm all over the place here!

  • Ditto @sugarland726. I consider myself pretty moderate just because I don't always see eye to eye with either side.

I wish the Tea Party would choke on their own tongues.

  • I am mainly republican but some views are different for example I am more democratic in terms of views on war (which is huge I guess).

  • I think I read somewhere a Fiscal Republican but a Social Democrat. I feel that matches my affiliations.

Wasn't Abraham Lincoln a "republican"?  But he freed the slaves... seems more liberal to me.  I feel like the political parties have changed directions so much over the years.

FWIW, I think I'm kinda what @sugarland726 described.
Yup, definitely. I was just referencing someone a little bit more recently in history. And back when Lincoln was in the White House, the Dems were the group from the South who were against the federal government freeing the slaves.

  • The social  and religious conservatism and back-ass-wardness of the Republican party drives me nuts, but fiscally, I lean to the right.
